Day 6 of Charity Challenge - My Actifit Report Card: January 13 2019

We got the automaticwin this morning before we knew that the fitbits had arrived last night. (I guess our mail wasn't delivered until 5:30).  Anyway we already had 10k+ using the actifit app and had the screenshots.  When we got the fitbits charged up and going it was late morning.  We both set our apps to sync with fitbit, then we lost our numbers we already had and just show the numbers we got with Fitbit.  So this reports my total count as 10271, but it was really 21,062.  So if you get a fitbit don't get anxious to try it out like we did and start it in the middle of the day, lol.  I'm not very happy with the numbers that fitbit gave me in relation to what the actifit app was giving me.  I don't know what kind of elliptical machine that fitbit uses to get its numbers, but saying only 586 for 20 min and only burning 61 calories doesn't make me happy at all.  The elliptical is way more energy expenditure than walking on that treadmill.   It didn't give me as much for the line dancing either,  it shows 1000 less steps than the treadmill for basically the same amount of time.  The line dancing is more activity, I can guarantee you.  We'll be doing some more testing and see what's what over the next few days.

This is only the 1st half day of using it, but I'm seeing that the fitbit is giving less than the actifit app.  BUT there is a way to "enter" your workout and you can put any amount of time and miles in there you want.  Would make it very easy to ummmm, exaggerate shall we say.  But the chart I posted shows times and steps, so that is legit for sure.

I thought this was kind of interesting.  You can click on the activity and pull up a chart.  This one is for the line dancing part.  You can see some of the dances are faster than others, more work.  Amazing.

Finally you got your Fitbits, I just saw @crypt-skip's post. That must be exciting. At least we know what to do if we ever get a chance to use them.
One surprising thing is that I thought the Fitbit is better at catching the steps than the app? Any how you will keep updating us with how its working 👍😁

Glad to know you’ve received your Fitbits, but sorry it didn’t give accurate count instead misses up your original count. Me too, I’m just testing with mine for now cause I can’t sync it anyways to the Actifit app. But like you I get a differential counts between the two; about 1k difference and that’s a lot. 
Anyways, I’m sure you’ll get a hang of it as soon as you figure it out.
