When to Sell

Hi Friends,

I recently sold some of my Cardano (ADA) coins at $1.30 after a big run:

You can’t tell from that chart but ADA went nearly to $1.50 so I didn’t really catch the top this time.

One of the problems with investing in cryptocurrency is that I have no idea when to sell.  I took some profits on ADA and am keeping 500 coins just in case it goes parabolic but, unlike stocks, I can't determine a fair value that I think is appropriate, which then helps me determine my exit strategy - I am just guessing, lol.

So my question to the Leo community is: What strategies do you use to help determine your exit points on these coins? 

Unfortunately, I do not have loads of time to research and watch the charts, so my investing is mostly a buy and hold until the time feels right, strategy right now.  I am sure I will get chastised by some "who would never sell their cryptocurrency" (like I get when I sell some gold or silver bullion) but I am not that kind of die hard loyalist so you can save your criticism, lol.

Would love to hear from you experienced coin investors.

I have a really hard time selling, even when the market is high! lol. I have such tightly gripped fingers on my crypto. I always think "but what if it goes up more???" lol but eventually I will sell, I want to get to a point where I sold enough to get back all the money I put in. Then the rest would be gravy.

It certainly wasn't a bad time to take profits.  I'm still holding onto my entire stack of Cardano.  I'm hoping we go to $1.50 or $2.   The big reason I didn't sell is because it still looked like the Google Trends search volume was still going up and there is still some stuff around the corner.  Whether something happens with it or not who knows but I felt like there was still a lot of buzz around it.
