Are Bots Taking Over Steemit? (My Thoughts About The Bots)

<p>Some Steemians are enraged and some are just confused about the way voting works on Steemit. &nbsp;It can be frustrating and hopefully this pool meeting sheds a little bit of insight into what is going on with the votes on Steemit and this also shares my thoughts on the subject as well. &nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Be a master of the machines!</strong> &nbsp;My pool pump, washing machine, dryer, AC, computers, and microwave are all running right now! &nbsp;</p>

<p>Also during the video I reference Chinese "Click Farms."  These can have 10,000+ phones all set up to like and follow people on sites like Twitter and Instagram.   People are willing to pay for that so it is big business.   Will this happen on Steemit as well?</p>

There are coming more bots. If you look at the introduceyourself tag you get like 5-6 bots that welcome you. That's becoming unreal and unnecessary. If there are good services then its valuable (e.g. Minnowsupport) but the bots that aren't needed should go away.

There was an early bot named @wang that basically got rich with a bot that would welcome you.   It was pretty crazy.

Considering other networks, this is inevitable. But we can prevent or at least try if we are honest members. Of course, a large number of people will try to gain profits regardless of the sustainability of the network.

Well just because some of us are operating bots doesn't mean we aren't honest.   If there is money to be made doing so people are going to do it.   Things will continue to be automated more and more as time goes on.

From that point of view it's ok to me. But, for example my friends and I always discussing should we make some bot, even for fun, or it's not moral and fair to other users. Now I have no dilemma.

Interesting post. I believe that bots will be major players here in steemit. They will continue to come. While they can certainly affect voting, rep,  and rewards, it's still up to us, real humans to deliver good content and make this a valuable community.

This issue really needs addressing. These days i can see very few real good steemians welcoming newbies. Almost we have left that work to the bots as every other bot welcomes people to the platform. The difference between the bot and the human is, love and communication ensue and that fets to allow the newbie to stay on the platform. I think there should be a limit to the amount of bots to be created. There should be a lincense board or something to regulate the activities of bots. Else we will all br burried in bots.
