Steemprice and where it is heading. My toughts and doubts sometimes

Steemprice is currently going further down. Last time i checked on coinmarketcap it was only 1.10$.

Then i start wondering if inflation is to high, if we dont have enough investors, or whatever for godsake is pushing the price lower and lower while we all strongly believe steemit is revolutionary. I hear people talking about a 1000$ steemprice and other are saying 2$ max.

Why not even go back even lower to 50 cents or who knows...

Ofcourse we know for sure more people will come to steemit. but when will it explode? Will it be enough to disarm the inflation? We dont like see our accountvalue and upvote going lower and lower.

HF 20 let itself wait... price went up after news SMT and then back down again instead of staying a little higher. But yeah if you look at coins like waves etc they all stay at the same price these weeks...

You would hope when bitcoin rises that the whole market would but no..

OK OK, more cheap steem to invest in. But this behavior of the steemprice scares away investors. Alot is promised or suggested by people but nothing really happens till now.

Ok so these where my toughts i needed to trow out. What is your idea about all this? The best comments will get a small upvote from me since I am down to 80% and dont wanna go under and since my upvote is only worth now around 11 cents because of steem going down.

But hey dont let me demotivate you by this post. This was never my intention. But i think I said what lots of people are feeling from time to time. Steemprice went down to 8 cents before. Not saying that this would go as low again but yeah. What changed in the meanwhile to not get price 5 times lower?

All your points are valid.  I feel it is important to distinguish between price action and what is going on with the platform.  From a platform perspective, things are moving forward very well.  As you alluded to, we see the announcement of SMTs.  From what I could garner about them, they could be game changing.

Secondly, you have more than 400K people on here.  This is up from 318,000 when I joined 7 weeks ago.  That means almost 20% of the membership came on board in less than two months.  Growth at a similar rate over the next 7 weeks will put us near 1/2 million by the beginning of December.

Finally, it seems more of the Steem is going to SP with less powering down.  This only makes the entire platform stronger.  Each day, we move closer to the network effect truly taking over.

Now to address price...could it pull back?  Of course.  The EW people have it pegged around 70 cents before turning around.  I dont know where it goes to but I can tell you it is a good opportunity to load up (or at least convert your Steem Dollars to SP).

Overall, I am extremely extremely bullish about Steem long term.  The short term pullbacks bother me none.  I actually prefer it to stay around these levels (or lower) for another few months.

thanks for sharing your toughts on this matter. You are right about SMT i think. AND lots of people are comming to the platform, soon it will make an exponential growht. I was kind of thinking the same about price staying a bit low for some time to pile up some steempower. What are EW people? I do belive in the platform and the blockchain, it has alot of potential. Now we hope and also we work on the idea of fully using that potential. Lets make steem and steemit big togheter!

EW = Elliott Wave...a form of technical analysis.

As for making it grow, it will require as much original content as possible.

We will see Steem take off in price...I think we will see $10.00 within a year.  This is the most active platform so far doing more transactions than both Bitcoin and Etherum.

I absolutely agree with you and was thinking about posting something very similar!

I would expect that people would be loading up on STEEM to get in on the upcoming SMT ICOs but if anything it seems like people are unloading STEEM at a pretty high rate and there's not much demand.

Seems like there might be something all the sellers know that we don't...

What's the inflation rate anyway. A few weeks ago the coin count was 239m and now we are approaching 243m. Seems steep. Is there a cap to how many Steem there will be?
