I will share the real life experience that birthed this story I am on, I just had to chip in that of my friend because they are a bit related in some parts.

It is not good to go into marriage out of desperation. You are not obligated to anyone on how you choose to live your life if you are not ready for marriage, yet. Learn to grow a thick skin and ignore what people say or might say. Let it be like water of a duck’s back because the truth is, those people will never stop talking and does that mean you have to spend your entire life, waking up just to please these people? Once they talk you into making a decision, trust me they will still come again and try to influence you once you have done their first bidding?

So, there is this lady who is about to marry a guy who abuse her emotionally and physically. The man is way older and the lady is younger. The man has a lot of experience sexually but the lady is such a novice and to compound it, she is a virgin. They have done their introduction and haven’t done the registry yet as well as the other traditional rites. This man has warmed his way into the hearts of the bride to be family; particularly the father and mother. This man would hand porn videos to his to be wife to watch so she can have experiences. It got to a point that he had to sleep with her mutually I think, even though they haven’t settled the traditional rites and done the other parts. 

Every time this guy would allow his frustration at the lack of experience from this lady to force him to abuse her physically and also emotionally. He wants her to do things like they do in the porn videos he has handed out to her to watch and when she couldn’t keep up, he would abuse her physically and emotionally. She got so fed up and confused and she doesn’t know what to do. She doesn’t know how to call it off and how to even convince her parents. I think this decision requires a lot of effort from her and she must do the needed thing and leave. Thank God they have not been joined legally and they haven’t done the white wedding and the traditional marriage. What better time for her to flee than now.
