Over half of cancer drugs are medically useless

This statistic were [posted](https://www.theguardian.com/business/2017/oct/05/over-half-of-new-cancer-drugs-show-no-benefits-for-survival-or-wellbeing) in the Guardian recently.

> Of 48 cancer drugs approved between 2009-2013, 57% of uses showed no benefits and some benefits were ‘clinically meaningless’, says BMJ study

What does this mean? Why is money being spent on drugs which have no medicinal value? If these drugs are clinically meaningless then it means something is very wrong with the drug industry. What can be done about this? Can blockchain technology help make the process of drug development cheaper?

Because greed  from these companies producing them. If something as deadly as cancer approaches anyone's life , they try to do whatever they can to get rid of it and that's where companies can take advantage

Most doctors here in the u.s. only are required 4 hours of nutritional training.... And yet we expect them to be able to cure cancer and our bodies.... It's a racket for profit for the big pharma system.

It's crazy how we still haven't figured out how to control, heal or even just prevent ourselves from cancer.. And the 57% don't help that development!

It's a shame people still don't know there are cures for cancer and most diseases. If we stopped popping pills to try and solve our health problems, then maybe we could hold ourselves accountable for a change. 

Although I empathize for the suffering of others with cancer and diseases, I do  feel that people are all to willing to take the easy way out. It may be expensive to buy drugs but it's simpler as well. The consequences of the easy way are just bad all the way around: our health suffers, we spend a lot more on medical bills, and we make irresponsible drug companies rich.
