Starting The 7 Lakes Route

This week we took a road trip from Pucón to the beautiful lake side town of <a href-="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Mart%C3%ADn_de_los_Andes">San Martín de los Andes</a>.

<br>To get there you have to cross the border in Argentina, which is easier than it sounds.  All in all the trip takes about a day, passing through the Araucanía region of Chile.  There are national parks on both sides of the border, and you'll already be familiar with The Villarrica National Park from earlier posts.
