The best restaurant of anything in between!!!

Seriously if you ask me what makes a best restaurant of the year? Come on man, you will never get an answer. It's either good food, great taste, comfortable environment, but expansive. Or, you can choose to have good food, great taste, but at a sucky environment for affordable price tag. Worst is, many local traditional shops has been showered by the fame of social media, and their food taste like crap, and their table service is so bad to an extend people will put a bad name to the country.

The best kind of restaurant for me, is street food concept restaurant that operate INSIDE of a shopping mall. It operates at the walk path, but it still has a shop. It has open air seats, but customers are still sitting in the mall enjoying aircondition. Nobody will have to suffer the cooking smell that goes to the clothing after lunch.

The restaurant is located inside lower ground floor of Jaya One Shopping center, called Ah Ma Kitchen. In Chinese, Ah Ma means Mother. See the adorable lady from the middle, that's exactly the kind of "taste" they're promoting from this shop. Home cook style, heavily customizable, freshly cooked and make yourself at home!

There is enough items in the menu for customer to choose, and best of all, individual dish are customizable. If you want flat noodle, you can choose flat noodle. If you want spring noodle, you can have spring noodle. If you wish to have a little bit of both? Why not they mix it for you?! The price tag for these dish are slightly above a regular street hawker, but definitely much affordable compare to local franchised restaurant!

They chuck a table and some chairs outside of the shop, and the settings are outright copy of street style! The best part is, the utensils container has a cover! Considering this is in a mall, I love the way they put much consideration on cleanliness. I think street hawker should really consider to buy this kind of container just to keep the dust falling on the utensils.

I ordered a bowl of curry noodle, mixture of flat noodle and springy noodle. The curry taste is very coconuty(I don't believe there's a word like this, I made it up because the curry being cooked with heavy coconut milk). I love the fact that they gave me enough tofu beancurd and chicken sliced in the noodle. There are a few pieces of dumpling in it too.

My friend ordered a piece of sticky rice dumpling. According to him, its slightly lacking because he didn't taste pork. Oh by the way, in Malaysia most of the open air concept outlet in a shopping mall are not allowed to serve pork due to respect for other religion. But overall, the sticky rice is properly steamed and the beans and nuts in it is very soft and tasty. Please omit the fact that they served with sweet sour and spicy Thai style chili sauce, to me is totally untraditional.

My friend go for red yeast rice soup as dessert. Once again, according to him, it's super cocounuty. I was so tempting to try some of it, but for a fact that I'm having mild flu at the moment, so I didn't or else I'm afraid I'd pass my virus to him.

And I took this peanut soup! Oh my!!! Yes! This is my all time favorite dessert. Roasted peanut, grind to powdery form, cook and stir them until it become thick, added with a little bit of sugar and this thing will make you start jumping around like a kid.
