[Photography] Sunset in Lagoa do Fogo

*Hey everyone! Hows the weekend so far?*

Here is another post that is once again, an unplanned shot.

I was actually doing some shots for a friend the day i took this one and when I was returning home I looking at this mountain and I said "Why not make a quick stop and take a few pictures of the lake?" So I turned back and went to the top of the mountain, when I reached the top and looked a the sun I knew i had to do a shot, and quick! The sun was about to go below the clouds! So I mounted my camera as fast as I could and started shooting all the pictures I could get to capture the sunset and this was the final result :)

Lagoa do Fogo is one of the biggest lakes of the Azores islands and the second biggest of São Miguel Island and is classified has a natural reserve. You drive all the way to top  with any car since they modernized the road for every one have a chance to visit and see the view from the top of the crate.

This is one of the ways to see the lake, you can also from the top of the mountain go all the way down to the lake or you can follow a trail from the south of the island which leads straight into the lake , but thats a post for another time :P

Never been to the top of a mountain during sunset, it's mesmerizing!
Judging by the settings, it was possible to try the option with ISO100; f / 16 and choose the shutter speed. If, of course, you use a tripod))

Good thing I follow my guts! Unfortunately I didn't even think of the tripod that day, wanted to capture has quick has possible the sunset, and I actually had time to set the tripod since it stayed above the clouds for 5mins once I started shooting

Wow, so amazing! Good thing you followed your intuition. 
That is a photo that would be an amazing base for a fantasy composite.

I love hearing about the island adventures and trails. The more you write, the more I want to come to visit - you are good for tourism :)

Side gig - private photography tours. I would hire you! There are lots of photography tourists now. A local photographer here takes people out to photograph the wild mustangs.
