What makes us higher animals is the ability to express emotion. There are some very smart animals and of cos very fast animals but they don't care for one another like we human do, they can't cry or maintain family bond like we. I always assumed it was humans self awareness that made them sort of 'top of the heap' the "I" is a powerful thing. Which creatures are smarter than humans, I'm just curious as it's kind of fascinating.
