Everyday we all get older but only some of us also get wiser.

Isn't it interesting how out of some of our struggles we find beauty in the rain.... beautiful poem.

I am so happy for you man, your life seems to be going so nicely, it is great to see.

For the record, I was out today for my daily limp.

Flash rain storm and I was soaked and people just looked at me, it is not like I can run anymore LOL.

So 30 mins of limping in the summer rain.

Can we do a poem for that????

Water is a powerful way to cleanse yourself. Sometimes we just need to 'wash away' the negative and nature gives us a wonderful way to do so with rain. Lovely poem.

Sometimes,Taking a walk under the Rain helps to relieve stress,most especially mental stress. It Can also Help Us to Realize Our Full potentials.Its a good thing it rained while you were walking, It helped you to make up a story from your feeling stress...And its quit a nice Poem!

This poem is so beautiful. As we grow into adults, we forget the joys and innocence we had as a child. We take everything so literally and become so cold because we let the outside world affect us. The sooner we realize that everything is superficial and happiness comes from within, the sooner we can become that child again and enjoy the little things in life and have the confidence to live it :)

I'm right with you on this I love getting caught in the rain.

But for small droplets of rain
The lake remain still.
I hold a cane pole
And stare at a red and white bobber.

Hey summer rain, let lose your pain, 
Send your drops to touch my window pane, 
Show some anger and get insane, 
Hey summer rain, let lose your pain, 

I have seen you drain through my Lane, 
giving happiness, in our hearts and brains
It brought us gain,  still you never claim

A dedication to summer rain as we wait for it with open heart but we do the least by not saving water,  not planting trees and also destroying nature...

Eric, your summer rain poem was beautiful.  When I was growing up in San Francisco, I would look out our bay window and watch the rain fall.  I always loved how the soft drops would hit the window softly, making me feel comforted when I was alone.  Since then, I always loved April, summer and winter showers.  I'm glad you had an aha moment and realized that the rain grounded you as it washed away the stress and overwhelming pressure that occurred recently.  Like you said, it reminded you of your youth and freedom and joy you felt.  Nature often helps us be reminded that we need to slow down and be one with nature.  I'm glad you were inspired to write your poem.  It really was heart felt and real.  Thank-you!  I just bought your book from Amazon and can't wait to read it. The spontaniety of the moment is a good point. I actually try to see life that way and stay in the moment, whatever im doing right now. That helps to focus and enjoy and not live for tomorrow, followed

I love summer rains. Like you, they transport me to my childhood. My story is that my father loved to sit under the porch and be part of the rain. My favorite thing was to sit with him. Together we shared gentle showers, lighting storms, trees falling under the pressure from high winds.

To this day, I cannot be in the midst of summer rain without having him by my side...

Thanks for bringing back to life that memory...
