Charity organizations exist everywhere with the sole aim of providing help and meeting the needs of people going through tough times. In the age of the internet, Charity organizations have been able to harness the powers of the internet to reach a wider audience and raise money faster. The advent and popularity of cryptocurrency have​ further made it a lot easier to give as money can now be sent across bothers faster than fiat. 

## Introducing Cherr.io

[Cherr.io]( https://www.cherr.io/) wants to take charities a step forward from their current state by creating a new type of fundraising platform built on the blockchain. One advantage of using the Cherr.io platform will be the fact that all transactions will be public and traceable, which could help curb or at least reduce the incidences of fraud Charities currently experience. Those who donate to the charities can also vote to decide what and where their monies are spent. 

For you as a participant and member of the community, [Cherr.io]( https://www.cherr.io/) rewards you for promoting fundraising campaigns on your other social media accounts. This way, the charities don't have to spend any extra fees on advertising and getting the word out, which automatically reduces their overhead costs. Community members are rewarded with Cherr.io tokens called CHR. This reward is taken out of the total fund raised during the campaign and is shared between everyone who participated in spreading the word about the campaign. 

To prevent fraud, Cherr.io will depend on the community to rate any Organisation intending to raise funds on the platform. The reputation of the organisation will determine if the raised funds will be disbursed at once or in batches. 

## Token and ICO Details 

The CHR token is an ERC20 token built on the Ethereum blockchain. During the pre-ICO, 10,000 CHR tokens would be bought with 1 ETH while the price for the main token sale will be set to 7000 CHR for 1 ETH (before the soft cap of $3 million is reached). This price becomes 5200 CHR for 1 ETH after the soft cap has been hit. That should be about 1 CHR = 0.15 USD

The date of the main token sale is yet to be determined but is scheduled to last for only 21 days. Tokens will be distributed about 7 days after the end of the token sale.

The total number of CHR tokens generated is 200 million. 60% of this 200 million tokens will be sold during the ICO with a Hard Cap of $12 million.
