School is not just about teaching academic subjects and sport is a major part of education in many ways. At the age of 15, Aya Medany represented Egypt in the Olympic games. It was indeed not common for female to participate in Sports in Egypt. She was a role model for other women in sports participation. She had people who supported her as well as others who did not.
