Ma se è cosi potente perchè non viene applicata ovunque?

In medicina, a causa del complesso e non standardizzato apparato di acquisizione e gestione dei dati sanitari, tali tecnologie non rendono il loro reale potenziale.

Il Washington Post analizza alcuni casi di applicazione, dalla predizione d’infezione al Clostridium difficile (453.000 casi all'anno e 29.000 morti negli Stati Uniti) all’interpretazione dei file di diagnostica per immagini, passando per la diagnosi precoce della retinopatia diabetica. 

**Il tutto per ridurre i costi, anticipare le cure e “duplicare o superare l'accuratezza di ogni singolo medico”.**

Argomento molto interessante, sarebbe bello discutere delle conseguenze etiche e sociali del fenomeno machine learning.
Credo che sia solo questione di tempo prima che arrivino ovunque, non solo in medicina ma in tutti i campi. Del resto le macchine hanno il potenziale per fare meglio e più velocemente quello che attualmente fa, sbagliando e con grossa fatica, l'uomo.
Ho visto recentemente un Ted sull'argomento che mi era piaciuto molto, riprende il concetto allargandolo anche ad altri campi, non sono sicuro se posso linkartelo qui sotto tranquillamente o se ci sono dei problemi di copyright/possesso del video, sperando di non sbagliare te lo metto intanto:
