Da Nang used to be a wonderful place to live and I have high hopes that it will become so again in the future. When we got some of our freedoms back a week ago unfortunately the construction crews go all of theirs and now this area is a constant construction noise nightmare of sorts. On my daily walk I found a few things that I thought were photo-worthy and encapsulates a big portion of what Da Nang is all about.
![243506845_2179544358882112_3013831700970378852_n.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmS7CprPTxHpLFnyvYN3WmyoAfZoYa1fxaZhxD9Kcsp8Bx/243506845_2179544358882112_3013831700970378852_n.jpg)
We have an ongoing joke around here near the beach about "when do you think the construction noise will stop?" and the answer is "never." This is because not only do we have high rises going up in every direction but as soon as they are done with those they go and tear down already existing structures in order to make way for god only knows what. It is really surprising to me that despite the complete absence of commerce in this region due to lockdowns that companies are building more and more. I guess they are banking on the country reopening once the NWO gets everyone their medical travel passports.
![243818346_618643685969295_2768354116644917610_n.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmZwGTQ2DsoG9dbY2uXErYjCGUpMSLfjDdMgxSvArsw6Cd/243818346_618643685969295_2768354116644917610_n.jpg)
While other parts of the world have some nice street art Da Nang is filled mostly with shitey unfinished garbage like this. There is a huge difference between art and vandalism, and this one is definitely the latter. Whoever did this was even too lazy to finish filling in the red properly. I hope he was caught because this is a straight-up eyesore.
![244170537_1230048777497893_8456283847055553678_n.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmRvSMYs2sE71ACYsdeKphNz4Mk2NGQ9mZrbWqd4W5T8ZF/244170537_1230048777497893_8456283847055553678_n.jpg)
There is plenty of Engrish in this town on menus, signs, and even the names of businesses. I find it funny because wouldn't spell checker catch at least some of this? Bolognaise is a tough word for even native-speakers but how did "bogoners" not get underlined in red for whoever was creating this?
![245073134_400398084977004_6228297640810081201_n.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmUEbrZvtpcR8HRQES3iUjhfpAtoCU4tSvgUDGk2NC6rbw/245073134_400398084977004_6228297640810081201_n.jpg)
Even better than a cheap vinyl sign is when something gets put on a permanent plaque of sorts. Feel free to call Mr Loc and ask him if his building has any vanacy.
These are just a few of the fun things that I encounter on a daily basis as I walk around with my mask under my chin until I encounter another human! If you got any funnies from your hood I'd like to see them!
