Dsound needs your delegation!

As some of you may have caught wind of, @misterdelegation has pulled their delegation to DSound. It's unfortunate, but be that as it may, @dsound has been a hugely supportive part of the Steem community for the past year or so. I owe much of who I am on this blockchain to them, so I think it's important to talk about why you should consider upping your delegation (or starting to) to keep them around.

The top reason on my list is not even the platform itself, but @prc. Especially in such a difficult market, I can only imagine it's hard to stay motivated and committed. We've already seen a platform or two bail for what they thought could be higher potential, but @prc hasn't given us any reason to believe that he's leaving. He's attended Steemfest, and is regularly posting about future plans and updates for this Steem-based Dapp. He is also reachable on Discord, and actively communicates with the community. It's little things like this that we need to see. A lot of damage can be done with a lack of public relations (I'm sure we're all getting very comfortable with that conundrum), and I think it's equally important to look at the individuals behind a platform as it is the platform itself.

DSound, like many other Dapps, also use their delegation to upvote their artists. Typically around 15%. Where I've found it very difficult to get the attention of say, Dtube and DLive (when they were a thing), DSound in my opinion has always felt like it's watching a little more closely. Most folks who have said they've had trouble *eventually* find an endorsement, so to anyone who is posting music regularly, it's a great way to keep building up Steem.

Now, I'm very far from an expert on the under-the-hood matters, so feel free to correct me in the comments if I'm mistaken! But it's also decentralized. As we are usually pretty comfortable with this idea as it's kind of built into the nature of blockchain tech,a surprisingly good number of Dapps are not. As much as I love platforms like Choon, I don't think it is decentralized. Neither was DLive. DSound sometimes gets some flak for it's performance (which has been greatly improved as of lately), but a lot people don't really take into account that DSound is working with the decentralized standard that they should be by being a P2P (IPFS) platform. I think this is important to stay consistent with blockchain ethics/philosophy, and I would also assume prevents them from abruptly jumping ship like DLive did.

We need Dapps like @dsound in our corner. They've been consistent and present for some time now, and personally I've just upped my delegation to 1500 SP to attempt to mitigate some of the loss. It's an extremely small amount, grand scheme, but I think together the community can lift up not only DSound, but any Dapp that may be abandoned by Steemit. I think overall in the current climate, it's probably important that we, the Steem community, gets used to these transitions anyways. We may take a hit for sometime, but at the end of it all it'll be a community driven, community owned Steem. Let's show @dsound some love and that we want them with us through it.

Nah I was diggin' yours too! One point you did touch on that I missed (a *huge* factor) is the community built around the platform. That may arguably be the most important part of all. I've met so many talented musicians through DSound, it's been an invaluable experience this past year to know so many gifted people.

And the other important things, by delegating to dsound, it was never a "gift" or a "favor". Musicians and producers with skills,it costs a lot of money, because it's rare...
It's ludicrous to think we gonna work for free! The other thing is that we used to diversify our streams of income due to our daily life, we know what it is to make concessions and sacrifices.
Imagine one of your school where you give lesson decide to stop paying their music teachers, well I can tell you that they would sued!

Yeah it's unfortunate, but all we can do is look forward. The way I see it, at one point or another, we need to move to a place where Dapps are fully sufficient from the community, not @misterdelegation. As much as I don't agree with the decision to pull the delegation (as I think it was quite premature, and in a brutal climate), what's done is done, and we just have to keep positive, support each other, and keep DSound alive!

Well, everything you have said is very true, this App has been the only one that has really supported the musicians integrally and if among all the musicians that we use daily this application we do not give a little power to vote? I think you will not need anyone's delegation if we join and help @pcr to continue growing with this application. I respect you and support you, if you allow me to use this post as well and do it in Spanish for Spanish speaking and place the link in English to arrive here would be an honor to make the post in English of this I hope your permission

I'm a little frustrated with DSound.  I've never uploaded anything there, but I love to listen.  I have my earphones in my ear all day, listening to stuff like music and podcasts!!  

**P O D C A S T S ! !**

I don't know why @Dsound hasn't completely owned this genre yet.  What we need is **RSS**!  With that, we can subscribe to our favourite content creators (musician or podcaster) and implement some kind of autovote support for them.    Can you imagine what would happen when the biggest podcasters get wind of that? 

The two main challenges with podcasting today are file storage and monetisation - both of which we've solved here on STEEM!!   

**Where is the IOS or Android app for Dsound?**  Come on!  

By now, DSound would have been so huge with external money flowing in, they wouldn't need any delegations.

I agree that a focus on podcasts would be awesome. They're increasing in popularity every day, and it's an untapped market in the cryptosphere as far as I can tell.

I think 2018 was a difficult year for everyone. I try to be constructively critical yet fair when analyzing these platforms. DSound definitely isn't perfect, but they improve. Sometimes slowly, but surely. In the current climate, I have a hard time asking for more than that. 

Be that as it may, an app, and a stronger emphasis on podcasting, are both excellent ideas!

Been crushed in the studio and only just heard of this. At a time when steemit.com should be doing everything possible to encourage adoption through good ambassadors and dapps they pull delegation from one of what, three total apps that contribute to the platform? How clueless do you have to be to not have “heard from” Dsound in awhile?!
