牛津还拥有大片的绿地面积,包括优美的河畔小道、全国最古老的植物园和大学公园。大多数的学院都分布在市中心,住宿区也通常在主校区,或者只要走一小段路便可到达。 因为牛津地势平坦(除了St. Aldate's hill 和Headington Hill地区),大部分的学生骑自行车出行。由于自行车十分普及,街道设有专门的自行车道,让骑车变得很安全。  很少有学生会开车来牛津学习,因为住的地方总是在离Carfax六英里的范围内,无论去哪里都能骑车到达。而且很少有院校会提供停车。住在外面的学生可能有幸会得到一个停车位,但不可能再多了。 牛津大学拥有100多个独立的图书馆,其种类繁多的图书资源能够满足学生、老师以及国际研究团队的需求。每个学生的专业内容不同,但所有的学生都会把大量时间用于阅读、搜索、学论文或者研究项目。 ~ Helga
