2nd Week Of 0% Self-Votes & Staking Tribe Tokens

It's been two weeks since I [stopped](https://steemit.com/steem/@hitmeasap/first-week-of-0-self-votes-on-newsteem-and-staking-tribe-rewards) voting on my own content and the outcome has been great so far. I am still confident in my *"0% self vote"* approach on #newsteem and I have to say that it feels ***really*** good!

I have given 94 unique users a total of 4.13 upvotes each during the last 7 days, *(389 upvotes in total divided by 94 accounts)*, which is a slight improvement since last week. Last week, I had a total of 363 upvotes that was spread amongst 76 users, so I've been able to reward 18 users more this week.

I still cannot see any decline whatsoever regarding my own author rewards and due to the new reward changes, I probably earn more curation rewards by voting on other users content instead of my own...

- So there's no reason for me to self-vote!

Last week, I had a total of 54 PAL, 441 NEOXAG and 200 LEO tokens:

One week later and it looks like this:

- 531.22 NEOXAG (+ 5.22)
- 61.72 PAL

This basically means that I have earned 21.49 LEO, 95.44 NEOXAG and 7.72 PAL since last week, which could've been sold on [Steem-engine](https://steem-engine.com/?p=balances&a=hitmeasap) for 2.12 Steem (NEOXAG), 3.63 Steem (LEO) and 0.61 Steem (PAL), according to the highest bids. That would've given me a total of: 6.36 Steem.

I know, 6.36 Steem doesn't sound like much but that is 6.36 Steem **extra**. I have earned 6.36 Steem on top of the rewards I've earned in Steem & Steem Power because I use these 3 tribe tags...

- How cool is that?!

0% self-votes and to stake 100% of my tribe rewards is my new approach on Steem. Shortly, I will be able to put more focus on Steem as well. I want to power up and I will also put in some FIAT in the near future.

I mean, I am **not** in a position where I can invest right now for various reasons... But, even 5 USD would give me almost 40 Steem at these low prices and 5 USD is something I can live without. 

It's not the end of the world to invest 5 USD and even small amounts of Steem adds up. It's easier to find 5 USD than 500 USD... So I might not be able to power up large amounts of Steem in one go, but I **will** and I **can** power up smaller amounts more frequently, and that is my goal.

#newsteem has been great so far and I am more motivated than ever. I want to grow, and I will. You should jump off the fence and join the hype-train. We've just left the station and our final destination is the moon.

My strategy has been to buy 20$ worth every pay day and divide it between me and the wife. As for the SE tokens I'm staking half and selling half. Once I have a stronger stake in Steem I'll begin to stake more on certain tribes.

That sounds like a solid plan. I am staking all the SE tokens I earn from these 3 tribes I focus on right now, but I've actually thought about doing the same thing as well... To sell half & stake half. I might do that further on. Sell for Steem so I can get more Steem Power, but for now, I'll continue to stake 100%.

Ugh, some of those tokens take so long to unstake as well. 

That's the only issue that I have with staking some of these tokens so hope powering up doesn't end up biting me one day if I want to sell some for profits in hopes to buy later for cheaper.
