This legend is inspired by the "Legend of the Laguna Box" Navigating the web I cross with this beautiful legend, talks about how was the formation of the lagoon and how things happened, a beautiful story that begins like this.

One morning in Mexico City, in one of its imposing squares was an old man who had the custom of telling stories and legends, this man was all day in the same place to the point that he was well known by the residents, many people attended To the square to hear their stories.

On that particular day, he narrated that in the place where the "lagoon of the bridge of God" lies, before it was a coquettish village belonging to a family who owned a field that surrounded the place, at that time all that ravine and lagoon Existed, although many did not believe, just as they listened attentively the legend that this old man related.

Many years ago, in a charming town in the city of San Luis de Potosi, Mexico had a beautiful estancia, a very wealthy family lived in the middle of the countryside, this family had a house built with all the comforts that could exist .
 
The countryside was composed of more than 1200 hectares of which 200 hectares was a beautiful park that surrounded the large mansion, had beautiful gardens with exotic flowers of all types and color, the rest of the 1000 hectares were completed with fruits, vegetables and pastures For its 5000 heads of cattle of excellent races.

The mansion built was very comfortable and fresh, something striking for the place that the heat was overwhelming, the beautiful pine trees that surrounded the place provided enough shade to keep the house always fresh.

Very close to the mansion passed a very important road that communicated to both side villages of the field, a very hot morning, those days that are 40 degrees in the shade, elderly people walked along the dirt road in the middle of the ray of the sun.

As they passed by the mansion, they saw the shady trees that surrounded the house, in the face of so much heat they decided to pause and protect themselves from the sun beneath the trees, as they approached they settled under a pine tree, the old man had a plastic bottle that they used To bring water to cool down, because of the intense heat, the water ran out sooner than you thought.

When he saw his empty bottle, the man made the decision to approach the mansion and ask for it to be filled with water, he rose slowly from the ground, his old bones were no longer in the midst of these trajines, he approached the door of the big house and Hit to be attended to.

The family was gathered in the breakfast room and sharing news of the day, when they heard the knocks on the door, as they approached they saw this strange old man inside his property, the man of the house became ill at seeing this situation.

When he opened the door, the old man was grateful that he and his elderly wife were on their way to the next village. They were exhausted by the heat, they sheltered under their trees to protect themselves from the sun and asked if they could fill the bottle with fresh water .

As I said, the situation made the homeowner ill, did not even bother to reply to the poor old man, I look with a few friends at the two old men and send them to his maid.

The poor woman was ashamed of herself, a little water and shade was not denied to anyone, but she had no choice but to accept the master's orders.
The maid came very kindly to these old men and asked to accompany them to the entrance of the property, to all this the whole family looked with contempt at these strangers, none took pity on these poor old people.

The maid took them to the entrance gate of the property and asked them to wait a few moments, took the empty bottle and went looking for water from the old mill, shortly returned with the bottle full of fresh water and handed these old men.

After returning the water, she again apologized to these elders, wishing them a good journey, the old lady came and gave a tender kiss to the young maid's hand and looked at her in anguish as if trying to say something.

The old man also approached the young woman and said goodbye with a kiss thanking her generosity and water, the old lady looked sadly at the old man, the man who knew her all his life understood the face of concern of his old wife.

The young woman was about to leave when the old man stopped her and said.

Look I have something important to tell you, but you must believe in me, we are not in step we are migrating, we have information that all this area after a great rain this is going to get under water, the rain will arrive tonight, so I recommend you Come with us if you want to save.

The young woman believed the words of the old man and without hesitating at that very moment she withdrew from the place, the three of them together walked towards the next village, a few hours as predicted the old began to rain

The storm was paralyzing, the rain was so fountain that you could not see a meter away, the animals very intuitive farm began to flee, the horses were in the stable wanted to flee but could not, in their desperation began to whine .

Thanks to these neighing the family could wake up and check that the situation was more serious than they seemed, looked around and the fields were covered in water, the rain did not stop and every time there came more water to the property, Of their horses and went to their aid, in April the doors of the barn, the horses ran up the field, this gave the man an idea where they should flee.

When they made the decision to leave the mansion the water reached their knees, luckily the horses indicated in which direction to flee, in the rain and without any belongings the family departed, they walked several hours until arriving at some hills, there they took shelter of The rain, at dawn they could see how their property was devoured by the water.

These people lost everything, their house, their field, their animals, they had nothing left, they were completely in the ruins, they had to start again, finally the temporary passage and this family had to continue trip to another town, because his was under water .

These people never returned to the place, they never knew that this was their punishment for having denied the water and despised the elderly couple, finally the waters were located in the field forming "the lagoon of the bridge of God."
