Real life usage examples of crypto payments
## Mass adoption of de crypto space seems closer than we potentially all realize, but the one question that always comes up when you talk about bitcoin (because that is what we do with people who are unfamiliar, we take the example that potentially the most people know), people always get scared about actually using  such a high volatile asset. I just want to share some examples on where crypto was actually a use instead of regular banking. I am not talking about being the 20 million pizza dude, I am talking about situations where in regular banking payments suck, and crypto didn’t.

# Example 1

#### I used to live on an island where the government is extremely amateuristic, which as a result all other major regulated parties are the same level of amateurism. Salaries get paid late, banks require standing in line for a stupid amount of time and honestly...I wouldn’t be surprised if one day one of the banks would ‘all of a sudden close’, leaving all of your funds into nomansland

#### When I was leaving this island I sold some stuff but only last minute before I left. Luckily for me (hence the sarcasm) around that time the banks were still in suck modus after hurricane Irma, and ATMs were often empty and online banking was actually not working. (ow yeah, the civil registry was also hacked around that time, are you feeling the anarchy?) What to do? Internet was working at the time, so I sold my car in crypto, transaction done in 1 block.

# Example 2

#### I’ve been gone from this same island a while now. Recently I received a call from a friend over there in need. He has a medical emergency abroad, but his salary was paid late and its the weekend bank and the flight is leaving in 3 hours. Better said..HELP….Sending cash will take days and his flight will be gone then long time, so I send crypto. One block later he is able to book his flight.

# Example 3

#### A friend of mine has been trying to sell his car for ages, and finally a serious potential buyer drops by. The buys agrees to buy the car. But it is Friday evening so the banks are closed and there is no way for my friend to check if the transaction actually is sent, or that he is being screwed over. Also paying the car in cash will result that my friend has a large amount of cashmoney in the house over the weekend, which also sucks. They decide to make the transaction in crypto, seeing one block later that this actually went through.

## It is easier when we think. Yes banks are getting better and more convenient, but surely not in all countries, especially the ones where the leading forces are not that reliable. I don’t need to convince you guys, you guys are already here, but it is always good to have an example coming to mind when the mass asks again.

The ability to freeze value is very necessary in order to take things to the next level. If I sell you my car in Bitcoin, then I want to know when I go to turn it into fiat, or even just spend it on another purchase, that it is worth the same as when you gave it to me.

This is the main thing stopping mass adoption, if you are a major retailer like Sony or Nike, a fluctuation of just 0.1% could cost you tens of millions.

Slowly, but surely we progress, little by little each day!

true on this one....until then retailers wont be to happy on using it actually...but what I really DID like here...was the speed of transaction when regular banks are failing....

and that was a win!
