What can I share with all of you? All you have to know is that inside the steemit. I have nothing else to think except the story of my life and experience. I guess that's probably my life's story I'm going to share with you all. I will not extend the story too much for the reader not to be boring.

I'm Kenneth Castro Divina, I was born in Cavite in the Philippines. I grew up with my grandfather and grandmother. At the same time, I grew up with my cousin. And our well-known mother and father are our grandparents. Their assistant in raising us is their children.

### When I was a child
the one who is watching often and caring for me when I was a kid was my aunt while their mother was doing their job. My grandfather's job is a security guard in an electric company.

I'm not saying that my real parents have let me down because within a year my real mother visits me. And sometimes I stayed for one month at her home in Manila. I'm saying that **"her"** because my real parent is separated. My father had his own family while my mother when I was young was alone and working in Manila.

My real father was a soldier of the Philippine government. I do not see him often when I was young because of the different places he was sending. The last thing I remember is that in 1992, I was a grade 2 student. We have heard that he was in prison. He killed an NPA relative to a congressman of Quezon Province.

Twice a year we visit the Quezon City jail even though it is far away, about three hours drive from Cavite. I remember 12 of May, we visited my father and that day was my birthday. 

In 1992, my grandfather passed away, my dad's father. His death is [Stroke](https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/stroke/symptoms-causes/syc-20350113) due to excessive alcohol consumption. A new blow to our lives is when our father dies. My grandfather is what I consider my father in the flesh. My grandfather stood as my father when I was a kid.

When I was a kid, I felt like I was carrying the whole world on my shoulder when my grandfather died. I learned to plant vegetables and take care of it. I also learned to sell vegetables that I planted in the fields. I also cut the wood and tied up it properly. I was also washing clothes every time, even though I had to spend more than two hours.

### I thought when I was young I had a bad luck in life
with all the sharp things, I always get injured. My fingers almost cut off when I was elementary at age of ten. At grade 5 I was able to cut my finger again. And when I ride a jeep, my foot slipped and I fell into the jeep and rolled to the road.

And another! I remember. I was trapped in a tricycle and my legs were torn in a tire! The reason is that my PE pants are attached to the steel wheel. Because of those events, my confidence in myself was reduced. Because my aunts always tell me that I'm a bad luck person. That's always what I have in mind. And every time I go to action, I think twice and often do not continue.

However, the confidence in myself comes back when I join a sports and stage play in high school. And it goes on. And that's the beginning of my career in life, the volleyball sports and the stage play.

### Have you ever experienced bullying?
When I was in Elementary School, I was often involved in dancing even though I did not know how to dance as long as my childhood crush was my partner. Hahaha...

I remember, when I was Grade 1, I was a little overweight and I still had one bottle of milk at noon before I entered school. 

> *Funny!? But it's true! Hahaha...*

That is the reason why they always bullying me. They say, in my language and they singing like this,

> "***Kenneth Baboy, pray every day! Pray Every day! Pray Every day!***"

"Baboy" in English is "Pig". That means I am a porky! Boy?! Hahaha... But I don't think I'm fat? I'm a just healthy boy.

And not only that, they often hurt me and beat me and go home with the scratch or scarce on my face. It happened once a week, I'm still lucky because I have a defender every time I'm being beaten. 

Because of that incident, I moved to another school in a private school but did not change my level. I remained a grade 2 student again because I did not learn much at government schools. So the problem is that I do not understand much English but in science subject I'm good.

When I moved to another school my health changed significantly because I was not able to play games like before. This is the disadvantage of attending private school, all of your actions are limited. Unlike public schools that are doing really are household chores such as sewing, cooking, etc.

The disadvantage of the public school is not all students are listening because of the amount of the student to be taught by the teacher. When I was in a government school, we were 50 students in the room and I was in row 4. And the books we use are really old and most are actually taped so that pages can not be separated.

However, most who are studying at government schools are poor families and do not have enough money to support their children to study at good schools. Like me, from a government school, I moved to a private school after 1 year and returned to a government school because it was too expensive to study at private school.

### Have you ever been in trouble when you were in high school?
When I was a first-year high school, I was impressed by the students who were not in their own sense. At first, it was fine because I was new to the school and they did not know me yet. Over the next few weeks, they began to slowly begin their cynicism.

And what happened was unexpected. I was challenged by the fight behind the school. I told them that I really did not want a fight because one of us can break the bones and not get into school.

This is their bad luck, I said in advance. I do not want to fight but they urge me? Maybe they want to try my skills? Think of it, five against one? Is that fair?

> Maybe they have heard that I am in Martial Arts (taekwondo) then I transfer to (Jeet Kune Do) so they challenge me.

I told them early but no one listened. As I said, one of us will go home with the broken bones. Three out of five are bone fractures in their hands, due to the release of my fast kick and punch. And the others are badly damaged on the ground by kicking their bodies.

They are not yet satisfied, they have been fighting again on Monday and brought five more to retaliate what happened to them. And they are carrying wooden sticks and they do not know, I'm good at using wooden sticks because it's the weapon that I trained, so I just smiled at them.

> I did not beat them with the wood I picked up, I just used the wood to defend and drive them away. I know for myself that they will not win, and they will all be hurt. So I just wanted them all to stop.

I also love adventure that is unique like riding a roller coaster, climbing the mountain, entering the caves, jumping to high waterfalls or on high viaducts with water. I do not brag about what I say, I just talk about what's going on in my life and experiences. And all of these are summaries of my experiences in my life with sadness and satisfaction and success.

But what's important to them is that I have been happy with my experiences in life even though the sadness involved. Our lives are still full of sadness and joy, disappointment and success, pomp and poverty, but more importantly to them; faith and trust in God who created us all.

### What about your family members? How are they all?
To all of my cousins ​​today, one has never been married. But I admire my cousin because she helps her mother to finish the studies of her brother and sister.

My cousin is so smart that she can easily get to work not like me. To all of my cousins, I have the weakest brain, in other words, **"not smart"**. But to all of us, I am the most industrious and resourceful.

We have a proverb in Tagalog saying that,

> **"Daig pa ng maagap ang masipag."**
(The early bird catches the worm.)

To all of my cousins ​​who have finished studying, they all rely on their parents except my cousin who was with me at the house and we grew up together. We were both neglected by our parents when we were young. But my cousin was luckier because she was smart and she had finished college. Her course was a nurse, with the help of her real father and our grandmother.

I, I only hope for my own ability and strategy. I am making a small bamboo house hut and I put varnish in order to be polished and a little design of tiny stones. And then I sold for 150 Pesos. I can make three types of house cottage within a week and each one takes two days to complete.

One day I discovered that I was good at painting people using pencil or charcoal pencil. It started as I tried to draw the face of my cousin. And I did not intend to draw her properly and beautifully. A piece of A4 paper, which has been hidden and kept by my aunt until now.

And because of the new talent that came out of me, I made this business. And each of my paintings costs only 250 to 350 pesos. It lasted only three months due to an unexpected event. Whatever the case, it will remain secret to me.
