Yep, you can make most anything in a vegan form, and it will generally taste as good, if not better, and always be healthier. One of the unspoken illusions about flesh-based foods is that the meat is where the flavor comes from, when most of the flavor for those things comes from the spices, oils, vinegars, and veggies added to it.

Excellent, I can't wait to get back to Acapulco and try some more of their food, especially the blackbean hamburger. I found a vegan restaurant here in Guadalajara that I really enjoy too. This is their "setas en su jugo", a vegan, mushroom version of the popular "carne en su jugo":

That's awesome! [Oyster mushrooms (setas)](http://www.healthbenefitstimes.com/oyster-mushroom/) are SOO good for you, and great for swapping into traditionally meat-based dishes. I'm trying to get VV to bring in jackfruit as well, it's another wonderful, not processed, not soy-based, meat alternative.

I love shopping at Verde Pistache and just stocking up on non-GMO, fresh, healthy food. Tavo (the owner) is the owner and a friend and he's super dedicated to providing his customers with the best products on the market; not an easy feat, my friends!

Among the many products he sells I highly recommend his "Hecho en Acapulco" brand of soaps. These all-natural soaps are made with the highest standards in soap making with all Acapulqueño-labor and Acapulqueño-run people. If I can be candid with you guys, I'm addicted to these soaps! (fetish much?)

It's hard enough these days to avoid all those damn chemicals like Triclosan, parabens and what have you but V. Pistache's got you covered!

Anyway, if you're in Acapulco you should check out both V. Vegan & V. Pistache; you'll love it I'm sure!

I agree that it certainly can't get much better than using a decentralised coin to pay for healthy, cruelty-free food!
