Hello fellow Steemit Team my regards to  all. Thanks to @oppongk, @cryptokannon, @steemitblog, @steemcurator01 and the entire steemit members. I really appreciate your immense support for me when I introduced myself here. I didn't expect it that far for the great love you Guys shown me. I say God Almighty blesses you all



I'm still understudying how steemit work, and with the help of the various achievement task prepared by our lovely @cryptokannon, it makes it very simple for me to share with you. So far, much have I learnt here in steem through the tutorial of the achievement tasks. My second task is *"Basic security on Steem."*

Security is very important in every field. Without security we are all unsafe  to live. Thieves and duped us very easily or we might be endangered by criminals. In the same way, I believe Steem, being a large and reputable community has secured their system and because of that, we the steemit users my secure our password or keys that have been generated for us.


I have really kept my passwords very safe to avoid theft or being losing them. The *"Master password"* is my first hand password I received when @oppongk signed me up.

Question 1. Have you retrieve all your keys on Steemit?

Yes!, with the help of my Master password, I had been able to retrieved all the security/hidden password on steemit. I have now known that we have about 4 hidden keys: *"private posting key, private active key, home key and memo key"* Each or these keys are very important in steemit, since they have special purposes.

Question 2: Do you know each of these keys and restrictions?

Yes, I have gone through each of the keys, their functions and where they end. 

- The Master key functions as opening all other security passwords, such as the private key and active keys. Whereas in most cases it can't be used to make transactions such as exchanging for Bitcoin or other Altcoins. 


- The private posting key, as the name implies, helps in posting steemit contents, upvoting and commenting.

- The private active key helps in making transactions, transferring  steem to someone, powering up of your steem. 

- The Owner  key also function as settling your account when it get conflicted with other accounts. 

Question 3: How do you plan to keep your password:
So many plans have been made to keep my passwords very safe. They are keys to protect my steem business and wallet, so I have saved them on both off line and on line. In my Gmail draft as the first place that I can retrieve quickly. I have also printed them and hid them very well. I have also saved them on my pendrive. I know all these can help me to save my password.


Question 4: Do you know how to transfer your steem tokens? Yes I have  been taught how to transfer my steem from my account to another steemian. In my wallet, I will select transfer then follow up the instructions. With the help of the function of the active key, I copy and paste my active key at the place required. Then send it the fellow. 

Question 5: Do you know how to power up? In the wallet, I get to power up, then I select power up and then follow the instructions, copy and paste my active key at the space bar provided, and then sign in, it will automatically power up.



Upon these basic knowledge, I think it can help me do more stuff here in steemit community. I am still learning the rest of achievement tasks with the support of Steem greeters team and @oppongk. You are welcome to also guide me to know more things.

Good to see you have your keys stored offline, i never thought i would have to use my offline steemit keys until 3 months ago when my computer blew up :(
