 This plant is a common sight in fields and on roadside at the moment. It's Field Bindweed (*Convovulus arvensis*). It's a bit of of a pest plant, a vigorous creeper but the roots contain a resin that will unstop your bowels as quick as anything. A tea made from the flowers is a more gentle laxative and can also be used as a wash for external wounds and bites. As with most 'wild' plants, Field Bindweed is full of surprises  This is #originalwork.
