Mel Gibson's film tells the story of the Maya. You will not be bored because the film is an incredibly immersive film from its first scene to its last scene. On the other hand, an important note: the film contains many atrocities and bloody scenes. So if you don't like watching this kind of movie, you may want to close the movie in the 2nd - 3rd minutes.
