The beauty in simplicity - I had to change my wall

Hello guys, those of you who know my work know I enjoy painting portraits, animals, landscapes... just non-abstract things... I could find the beauty also in abstract art, but it was not as strong as I would like it to be. Two days ago I got some strong pressing feeling I need to change my walls and my whole workplace.

For a better vision, this is how my wall looked like. All just paintings, collages, linocuts and drawings of my common topics.

I loved this room bud suddenly I started to feel uncomfortable, like everything around me started to push me down and confuse me, I couldnt work and think without disturbance. So, I told myself I need some change! Less colors, patterns and any specific subjects, only brush strokes and stains appeard in my mind. I wanted them to be pure black, but then I realised I need some color and Phthalo blue from W@N watercolor set came to me as a perfect match, so I started to paint.

I really enjoyed brush strokes and making stains. I could find real pleasure in it and even I have never felt truly fascinated by the beauty of abstract art, now I am and it gives me calmness, freedom and inspiration. I can work again and maybe find some new way of my artistic expression.

I enjoyed seeing this side of your artistic expression :) I do often wonder whether it is difficult to switch from detailed to more abstract work, but you don't seem to have too much problem with it!

WOw, that's a big change and I love it. Sometimes it's good to just have a cohesive colour palette of abstract shapes to soothe and calm us.
