Whether you like Arnold Schwarzenegger or not one thing can not be denied…and that is the fact he had an amazing life.

Here is a guy from rural Austria with no connections to Hollywood nor Washington, who became the biggest start in the world, the best in the world at his sport and governor of California and did some other amazing things. 

He had no connections, no support, no encouragement … nothing .. and he made it all happen.

The back of his autobiography says this:

"He was born in a year of famine in a small Austrian town. He dreamed of moving to America to become a bodybuilding champion and a movie start.

By the age of twenty-one, he was living in Los Angeles and had been crowned Mr. Universe.

Within five years, he had learned English and become the greatest bodybuilder in the world

Within ten years, he had earned his college degree and was a millionaire from his business enterprises.

Within twenty years, he was the world’s biggest movie star, the husband of Maria Shiver, and an emerging Republican leader who was part of the Kennedy family.

Thirty-six years after moving to America he was elected Governor of California, the seventh largest economy in the world.”

He can have many bad qualities but what he made with his life is truly amazing.

Here are his 10 rules for life:

#  1: Have a clear goal
Very important to be clear in your vision in order to achieve it. He decided he wanted to be the bodybuilder champion in his teens. He started working on it with total focus and dedication. He says that in the first weeks he got a vision that became clear and clear… I was going to be a world champion.  

# 2: Think big

If you don’t hunk big, nobody will think it for you. Most people around you will think small and even make fun of you for thinking big. The only way to make something big, is to think big. Set yourself big goals and work on them.

#  3: Turn your liabilities into assets 

When he said he wanted to become an actor… people said it could not happen… he was too big and had an accent…Can you imagine the terminator saying “I’ll be back” without that german accent?

# 4: Ignore the little man

People all around will keep on pushing you down, saying that nothing will happen to you, because nothing happen to them… Ignore the little man. 

# 5: Work very hard

Yes it is no secret that you need to work very hard if you want to be good at anything… Seems like common sense but most people tend ignore it.

# 6: Make this world a better place

Make something, be useful, learn a skill, make life of others better.

# 7: Don’t be realistic

Huge one. Anyone who as tried something outside of the box has heard the sentence: “Be realistic” … this sentence is an enemy of progress and mankind. 

# 8: Don’t be afraid to fail

It’s easy to be paralysed with fear of failure… Just go for it. 

# 9: Model success

Learn from the best. If you want to be a pinter but there are no good painters around you… get all the books and courses on your favourite ones. Study their lives also.

# 10: Believe in yourself

Yes… first know yourself… then believe in yourself…
