"VI Festival Internacional de la Cultura Maya" Inaugurará el 19 de Octubre Noticias Cultura

El instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia (INAH)_ de México anunció la celebración, entre 19 de octubre y el 5 de noviembre, del *"VI Festival Internacional de la Cultura Maya"*, un evento que contará con 50 ponencias y una serie de talleres indagando en esta oportunidad el tema de la "Cosmogonía y la Preservación del Planeta"

En el marco de este festival se presentaran distintas manifestaciones culturales como danza, teatro y música que harán las delicias de propios y visitantes al pais cuna de la civilización Maya.

El nacimiento de este Festival fue en 2012, con un alcance meramente regional,  y sus consecuentes ediciones ya con el carácter internacional, han transitado temas como El Tiempo, El Paisaje, La Arquitectura y la Ciencia de esta antigua civilización. La edición anterior (2016) tuvo la temática del Festival es De la Lengua a la Imaginación; abriendo paso al dialogo y conocimiento de la lengua indígena oriunda de la península de Yucatan.

En esta edicion, el invitado de honor es Canadá y se condecorará con la Medalla *Yuri Knórosov* a la investigadora Mercedes de la Garza Camino.

También se entregará el *Premio Alfredo Barrera Vázquez* a la mejor ponencia académica de un profesional menor de 30 años de edad en esa materia.

No cabe duda que será un evento imperdible para todo aquel que desee conocer mas de la antigua civilización y su legado.
