Dari seluruh rangkaian kegiatan petani sawah yang dimulai dari pembajakan tanah kemudian penyemaian bibit selanjutnya penanaman dan pemupukan maka endingnya adalah pemanenan.

Panen merupakan kegiatan akhir dari petani dan setelah panen apabila hasilnya memuaskan maka kita akan melihat senyuman - senyuman di wajah petani

Itulah rangkaian rutinitas yang dilakukan oleh petani, tanpa kita sadari kita berhutang budi sama petani tanpa petani maka tak ada beras walaupun seringkali kebijakan yang diambil pemerintah tidak memihak kepada petani mereka tetap bersemangat dalam menjalankan profesi sebagai Petani.

Salah satu masalah klasik yang sering dihadapi petani saat panen raya adalah turunnya harga padi, pemerintah seperti menutup mata akan hal ini padahal mereka punya Bulog untuk menyerap hasil panen petani dengan menentukan HPP pemerintah yang lebih tinggi dari harga pasar tapi itu sering di abaikan.
