That title goes unequivocally to Bitcoin, whose genesis block (first block in the blockchain) dates back to 3rd January 2009.

Up until recent years Bitcoin has been holding the absolute title of bigger market share in terms of market cap and trading volume.

It’s simple.

If you invest $5,000 into Gold, you can get $8,000 out of it if things go well or $3,000 if they don’t.

If Satoshi Nakamoto(founder of bitcoin i guess) had asked me for marketing advice — a field in which I have ZERO experience — here’s what I would’ve said.

For most people in English-speaking countries, “crypto” conjures one of three images:

Dead people and coffins held in the basement of a church.
Something weird and technical.
Something illegal.
For that reason, I would have told him not to use “crypto” in ANY context.

That said, no, at this point, I don’t see the point in giving it another name. People will gradually use brand names to refer to whatever cryptocurrency they’re talking about. You’ll say “Bitcoin” or “QuoraCoin” instead of cryptocurrency — like the way we say “Coke” to describe Coca-Cola’s flagship product, instead of saying “flavored soda-water” and expecting people to know which brand we want.

But yes, if I could’ve gone back in time, I might suggest dropping “crypto” altogether. Cryptocurrency is money. People don’t like crypts, but they like money.

Cryptocurrency itself is a good name already,giving it another name is in-consequential and i believe the focus now should be on how to make cryptocurrency to be widely accepted worldwide and it should become more resourceful

What is the cause for this?
Emotions. Humans are emotional and herd animals. Only very few people can spot a trend before it happens. 95% of people simply follow trends once the trend is actually up and running.
Legitimacy. Every time there was a bull run, Bitcoin became more and more accepted and legitimate. Then, it became more valuable than it is was actually valuable through point number 1 and then it self-corrected to its actual value.
In the last bull run 5 months ago, lots of legitimate uses and technologies around the blockchain have emerged. However, then they became overvalued, because of point number 1, because only very few companies could actually show real world traction and the market self-correct to what it is now.
Over the next couple of months, these companies will show actual revenue, clients and use, which will cause the next bull run, which will then self correct again.
That’s why, it’s almost impossible that the crypto market completely collapses, because we already have several platforms with real users, generating real revenue. Some examples

Dent, where you can rent your your monthly mobile data with 1 million users
ENJ, a gaming coin that is already being used within Minecraft and soon by its own network of 25 million gamers
Ethereum that is being used by AWS users for dapps
And there are more to come.

So, just hold on to your coins, buy the dip and sell next time you’re at a 10,000% profit. Most traders become greedy when they already made a 10,000% profit and think they can make a 20,000% profit. Once they have made a 20,000% profit, they want to make a 30,000% profit and thus never sell. Then the price drops by 50% and they beat themselves up that they never sold. Then the next time they are at a 10,000% profit they will do the same thing again and not sell.

This is a newbie trader mistake. Don’t be a newbie trader.

My take is that we need more cryptocurrencies to die.

Many of those so called projects are damaging the image and the credibility of the market. The reality is we don’t need most of them.

On CoinMarketCap, it says that there are currently 1615 cryptocurrencies.

So 800 is only half of it. Well then, that’s definitely not enough.

We need to get rid of at least 95% of the entire market. I’m taking a wild guess here but just so you can get the idea. After all, I don’t know all those crypto projects but I know for sure that most of them are plain scams or just useless.

And finally, I think it is time for this market to get regulated.

And I think that 2018 and the years to come will mark the years of cryptocurrency regulation and security tokens, in my humble opinion, of course.

When the prices go up again long term.

It’s not that hard. It’s about supply and demand. The real question is: what drives demand?

While everyone and their grandmother is hoping it will reverse soon, that is unlikely to happen. The current value is completely speculative, since there is no real world adoption of any significant scale. When you see stuff happening beyond proofs of concepts, the drops will stop.

Until then the market will get pumped by hopes of recovery, only to be deflated even more because [fill in any hindsight reasoning, probably TA related].

price of bitcoin was $5700 10 days ago and it was $6900 yesterday so that is 21% increase in 10 days it looks like the price is not dropping in last few days. 

The fluctuations in the prices of cryptocurrencies is their nature, they go up and down so people can exchange and invest. That is the unique thing about cryptocurrencies, compared to the other currencies, the often and big range of price fluctuations so Yes they might “crash” every once in a while. It won't go to 0 though. It will recover.

No one can know for sure if or when the market for cryptocurrencies will rise. 

Fees arent absolute, they tend to fluctuate depending on the network usage and user set fees.

If you’re thinking about sending cryptocurrency with the lowest fee possible, how about considering sending cryptocurrency with no fees?

Depends which cryptocurrency you’re talking about. Businesses would not want to take most cryptocurrencies. Why would any business want tokens from Factom or Pylon Network (unless they participate in the blockchain solutions these tokens provide)?

Assuming you mean cryptocurrency designed as substitutes for cash, e.g. bitcoin, I’d say the biggest driver for a business to accept cryptocurrency is cost and speed compared to conventional electronic payments.

When you accept credit cards, you need to pay fees, e.g., $.09 per transaction + 2% fee for a low-tier merchant. Compared to $.01 cost of a single payment using LTC or $.00004 cost of a single payment using XLM. Those are just examples to show how much less expensive those specific cryptocurrencies are — depending on the specific charge, the costs will differ but overall, at least with LTC and XLM, you almost always save a lot versus the same transaction using bank or credit card.

Also, with cryptocurrency, you can transact phone-to-phone via QR code. No expensive point-of-sale equipment needed, though you may want to invest in an API to communicate between the blockchain and your business’s systems if you need to automate your record-keeping and/or business processes.

Further, with cryptocurrency, the transaction goes through instantly, instead of 1–3 business days when using credit or debit card. Stress is the one thing we all have. We bring it on by trying to get to a better position, let people treat us badly, and want more from us than we can give, if we want to get the work done properly.

Stress can be reduced by mediation, exercise, walking, listening to calming music during the night at a level you can just about hear, and breathing exercises.

Mediating at night for say around ten minutes before sleep, and a few minutes in the morning once you get in to a pattern.

The obvious answer is to avoid stressful situations, but it seems these days we cannot always do that. We can try, and see if we can get around the stress that causes us to get uptight.

There are many ways stress can be reduced. Listening to music, focusing on other leisure activities , hanging out with supportive friends, reading or learning something new, exercising or meditating. Long term stress can be reduced by pinpointing the main source of stress and taking the necessary steps to eliminate the source. Once you feel like you are making progress towards getting rid of or overcoming the stressor you will automatically feel better. Even making a plan, say if you are in debt. Creating a financial plan can help you clear your head because you know that by following this plan you will get yourself out of that debt. 
Being disciplined and following a productive daily routine as well as balancing things you love to do will lead to a more stress free time.  Short term stress relief can come from anything that takes your mind off the topics that are causing the stress.  
Overall, having a balanced routine can really help alleviate many stresses in life. 

First make sure that you do not have a magnesium deficiency because this can cause calf pain. You may also have referred calf pain if you have entrapment of sacral nerves at the level of S1 and S2. Obesity.

There’s too much money to be made in “curing” obesity. And money is the main motivator of invention.

Yes, there are already “cures” for obesity: lifestyle changes and surgeries. The problem with those is that, while they save money for insurance companies in the long run, they lose money for the food industry. Plus, they aren’t really working, are they? We’ve known for generations what makes people obese. We’ve known how to fix it via lifestyle changes. And yet the problem just keeps getting worse.

The food industry is very powerful. But they have a problem too… there’s a limit as to how much of their product people can use.

But imagine if there was no limit. Imagine if you could eat all you wanted (and spend all of your money on food), but maintain a healthy weight. There’s two ways to do this:

Create safe, calorie-free foods that are indistinguishable from the calorie-filled regular kind. Not just “diet Coke” that tastes horrible and is even worse for you than the regular kind, but actual safe, calorie-free foods of all kinds.
Create some sort of medicine that would prevent calories from being absorbed by your body. Eat 5,000 calories of day (and pay for them!) every day, and your body will only absorb the number of calories you want it to. The rest just passes right through you.
I suspect there will be a combination of both of those in the next 50 years. There’s too much money to be made feeding people things when they aren’t really hungry. And there’s too much money to be saved by curing obesity.

My body reacts well, I am quite experienced now. But what I find is that every extended fast (fasting longer than 3 days) is unique. In the first 48 hours as the carbs burn out it gets good and can be very challenging for many. They mistake the discomfort as hunger and starvation, which is not happening. Fasting is a clearing, healing, and a resting. He body feels so many things, a sharpening, a stengthing, and balancing. Eating constantly and the poor quality of foods, as we can see, does not serve humans well.
