[Vlog] Scoopstakes update - changes to reward eligibility

### So for the last few months I've been thinking about ways to grow and expand the @scoopstakes competition I run. Today I talk about the first step towards achieving this.

# 2019 expansion

Some of you may have noticed the [web application](https://nanzoscoop.com/scoopstakes) I've started to build and I have started to make plans for 2019, including
* expanding the number of competitions. 'Football 5' is the first of many fan engagement competitions I plan to run under the Scoopstakes brand. Fans of other Sports will enjoy what I have in store.
* expanding the type of crypto rewards I pay out. Currently it is Steem and SBD however in the future I plan to reward non-Steem related crypto to winners. Players will enjoy the opportunity to explore some of the other cryptos I have lined up.
* marketing Scoopstakes to both Sports fans and the wider Crypto community

# Real rewards for real players
With Scoopstakes I want to demonstrate how cryptocurrency can be used to enhance the gamification of fan engagement competitions. To do this I need not only to ensure that the games are as compelling and frictionless as possible but that they are also seen to be rewarding real individuals with real rewards.

Thus one of the issues I plan to tackle before expansion is that of multiple entries. I've suspected for a while that some users are posting multiple entries using different accounts. 

# Patreon for crypto rewards
So what I've decided to do is this.

From January 1st 2019, Scoopstakes competitions will be open for everyone to participate in (provided they follow the rules laid out in the competition). 

However **only players that have signed up to my Patreon, at 'follower tier or above.' will be eligible for cryptocurrency rewards.**

The current cost of subscribing as a follower is $1 per month, and any user that engages in the competitions (or my other content) in a sensible way should easily be able to offset this subscription cost in cryptocurrency rewards even if they don't win in the competitions.

# Bad actor hurdles
The plan is to stamp out the multiple entries and if people do want to try to submit multiple entries (as a way of gaming the rewards) they are going to have to (1) go through the steps of setting up a Patreon account for each fake account and (2) paying an extra subscription for the privilege. 

Please remember that multiple entries per person is still prohibited and I still reserve the right not to pay winners that I suspect of breaching these rules.

# Limited availability
Also, please note that I will be limiting the amount of people that can sign up to my Patreon, thus the opportunity to earn crypto rewards via Scoopstakes will be limited.

Hopefully this approach will help stamp out abuse and make the games more appealing to genuine players.

What did you think of the Scorum platform? Seems right up the ally for scoop stakes...

I  think that will cut down on the multiple entries or at least slow them down. I guess if someone really wants the prize bad enough to set up multiple Patron accounts they deserve an extra chance at the prize LOL ๐Ÿ˜†.
