All data are <strong>Encrypt</strong> than <strong>Splited </strong>and <strong>Distributed </strong>to different provider.</p> <p>So you will never be in touch with a complete file and when it will happen you can't open the splited files because you have no key for the decryption.</p> <p><br></p> <p><strong>You said passive income!</strong></p> <p>Yeah :D You can install the V3 on Windows, Ubuntu, MacOS, QNAP NAS with Intel CPU and ARM-based devices like a Pi. For everyone should be a way.</p> <p>The installation is very easy. You need Docker, an account on no-ip or a static IP and a minimum of 500GB unused disk space.</p> <p><br></p> <p><strong>Time for the installation!</strong></p> <p>The first thing you need is a beta key. You can get a key <a href="https://storj.io/sign-up-node-operator/">here</a>.</p> <p>Than <a href="https://github.com/storj/docs/blob/master/Explorer-Release-Setup-Instructions.md">download the identity program for you system</a>. Unzip the folder and navigate with a console into the folder than use this command (sometimes you have to write "sudo" in front of it). On Windows you have to drag and drop the .bat file.</p> <pre><code>./identity_darwin_amd64 create storagenode</code></pre> <p>It will take a few minutes up to hours to create the identity_key. After that type </p> <pre><code>./identity_darwin_amd64 authorize storagenode <authorization-token></code></pre> <p>now you created your identity. Navigate in the shown folder and backup the folder to recover your node.</p> <p>Now open <a href="https://www.noip.com/">no-ip</a> if you have no static IP and create an account and a free DDNS address. Note that you receive every 30 Days an email to renew the free DDNS to keep it alive.</p> <p>Than follow this <a href="https://github.com/storj/docs/blob/master/Explorer-Release-Setup-Instructions.md">guide</a>. After that step the <a href="https://github.com/storj/docs/blob/master/Explorer-Release-Setup-Instructions.md">guide </a>is good to understand.</p> <p>Open the port in your router.
