From Mocha to Adderall: My Personal Experience With Caffeine
I started drinking coffee in high school and noticed something right away. The day after I happened to drink a mocha with my friend Louie, was never as good of a day as the day before with the caffeine buzz.

He knew a girl from our high school who was working as a barista in a stand nearby. She never would let us pay. Louie would talk to her for a long time while I patiently waited; I deserved a free one. She loved his attention. We loved mochas.

Louie and I worked in a buffet and also drank a lot of free pop (cola) that has caffeine. Of all the drugs I've tried, caffeine, would be called my drug of choice by addicts or those pretending to be addiction specialists, both of which are equally annoying.

In college I drank caffeine everyday. I would buy mochas all over campus, make espresso very often, and would also be known to have a Sobe green tea before class. I needed it to concentrate and take notes. Plus I love sugar.

I really struggled in high school. My social life was overactive. Looking back, I was too interested in custom trucks and going out dancing with my friends to be working on a degree. The dot com boom was starting. I was right near Amazon. I should have been working instead of reading about the dot com boom for...let's just say 5+ years.

I had to carefully read every page of the textbook, take the best notes possible, and re-wright and review them when I got home or I'd fail it. I have all my notes from college on the cloud in neat writing. My degree did not come easy. I couldn't drink with my neighbors on Sunday mornings and go to football games. I absolutely had to study.

It was easier for most other students. Professors believe the things they say are more important than what is in the book and tend to put the things they say on tests. If the professor spoke too slow, my mind would drift. It happened less if I had a mocha before class.

I drank espresso and drip coffee at work after college then noticed some stomach aches maybe 3 years after college. I rode my bike every where, stopped driving and starting drinking more. I loved riding to the bar, especially if there were jumps on the way.

I continued to drink, drank coffee, plus went out all the time for another 6 years. I barely danced, drank about the same, and still drank coffee every single day. Plus I drank shots that salespeople would buy on the weekends, which would sometimes contain Redbull.

Everything was fine. I was having fun working contracts in Finance. Then, the stomach issues came back with re-vengence which is worse than vengeance. The coffee was taking revenge.

I experienced severe gurgle syndrome. Noisy frog-like sounds at night and real bad hiccups even after just one beer. I quit drinking for 5 years after that, and basically quit.

It was the most annoying thing. I couldn't talk. I couldn't drink more. I couldn't eat. Check please. Night is over before it started.

That is just the start. People in a club or bar want to believe they know the only working, secret hiccup cure. They also believe that they must prove it works everywhere they go. I felt like a circus monkey with the hiccups. I'd try to explain my condition, which I couldn't explain while hiccuping and trying to perform at the same time. I went to different bars to try to hide it but always left the bar, alone and annoyed. After a few months, I just couldn't stand it and stayed home at night.

At some point during that time I realized I had to drink less caffeine and that Adderall was a better solution with less calories and that is less expensive.

That first Mocha was a bad idea friends. I bet Louie is in jail somewhere and also has used stronger stimulants. Hold the whip. Two slaves to the bean who were once two beans in a pod.
