HolyBread Initial Thoughts

The newest addition to the Steem gaming family - Holy Bread is a simple browser game with some basic character development and item purchase elements. 

I'm not sure what the purpose of the game is other than to develop heroes, complete quests and to make bread. Maybe there will be more to do in good time but for now, i  can see the game losing its appeal fast. 

The game does appear to have some issues with balance. For one, the luck attribute seems to give way too high a chance of critical damage, overpowering the other attributes. 

Overall, i'm trying to see the point of the game and so far it seems like many of the games we already have on Steem like Drug Wars and that space one in a slightly different package.

The way I look at it, the real game is finding a way to optimize how to earn something from it (for both the devs and players). Just like all the other 'games' (aside from Steemmonsters which is an actual game) the life cycle is limited to the rewards since that is what it's basically about. Get in early and you'll make a profit (especially when freerolling) everyone who comes in late just provides some earnings for the old players. Once new players stop coming in it's basically game over and the ponzi structure collapses.

I agree. Once the rewards start to die down like they did with DrugWars, there's little reason to play the game anymore.
