The Blockchain Blogger Series had a very productive week. Last week posts were very educative as they touched on various sensitive topics that affects Steemians

We have a long way to go when it comes to teaching people the right way to behave on this Platform,, like I said a lot of people lack direction on how to go about branding themselves on Steemit. Most of them just signed up due to the fact that Steemit Offers rewards

And flagging people who don't know how to conduct themselves will not solve the problem, we need to show them the right way instead of leaving them to figure it out for themselves

__________

The first post of last week was : [Steemit Is Not An ATM: Why You Need To Blog With Strategy](https://steemit.com/blockchain-blogger/@ogochukwu/steemit-is-not-an-atm-why-you-need-to-blog-with-strategy)

In this post I talked about the Importance of branding yourself on Steemit well. It is only when you achieve this that you will be able to get the Steem rewards you so desire

There are a some principles you have to use when building your brand and you also have to know that it is not an overnight process, it takes time and dedication

The following are comments from readers

@shello said

>Upvoting posts to bookmark em c:

>Hey @ogochukwu, you couldn't be more right, adding value to Steemit is about what you as an individual can give!

>I still feel sad if my post does not make much because I know the amount of work I put into making them
I feel this too, but even one thoughtful comment that helps me know that someone cared, can really make my day. I thought, why not be that person first?

>The hardest thing I think during my short time here, was working on my understandings with myself, and nurturing a positive and helpful attitude. Sometimes I wanted to be helpless and have people help me, but then I realize that this behavior will not get me any closer to my goals. I love your motivational work, we can all get there-

>one day at a time.

>I agree. When I first got on to steemit. I will admit, I thought I could post anything and reap the riches. Man, was I wrong. When I spent some time involved with a few people on here, and no earnings I started to realize this is about relationships like anywhere else in the world. I think to a large degree we are desensitived by the other social media outlets to fire and forget.

>its all about likes and subs. RIght?

>Not at all. I am so glad I learned the lesson early, because there are some absolutely amazing people on here that I call friends now. All because I took the time to read, comment and upvote.

>Your post @ogochukwu is right on the money.

>God bless and have a great day!!

The second post of the Week was : [How To Write Comments That Makes Influencers Notice You](https://steemit.com/blockchain-blogger/@ogochukwu/how-to-write-comments-that-grows-your-blog)

This post is my best Steemit post of all time, It took me almost six hours to write and I was proud of the end results, it has recieved a lot of views and it has a total 118 comments so far

Comments are very powerful they have the power to do wonders for your personal brand on Steemit, people always like it when people appreciate their work, and there is also nothing as annoying as a Spam comments

It was obvious that this was a post that was long overdue and I am glad that I took the time to write it because it provided people with a lot of Value and It also opened me up to a lot of opportunities and connections

The following are comments from readers

@pangoli said

>Hello, @ogochukwu.

>A thoroughly thought out and well written post. –This one. I finally was able to help a friend register on steemit just some days ago. He proceeded to make posts in a hurry without heeding all the advise I gave him on growing his network by interacting and commenting on posts that interest him... Well, I guess a few failed trials sure would convince him. I used to neglect the power of commenting and interacting with others. And it made the whole experience so difficult and frustrating. But when I started doing that, everything became easy and fun.

>This was really insightful and timely (and long too) πŸ˜‰... Great lessons for those who'd care to read. Resteemed.
_______________

@bekky said

>Hello @ogochukwu, this a well composed post and I will personally say that I learnt alot from it.

>To start with the blank profile used by some steemians, I will say I am guilty of that but I had been asking other steemians on how to go about it but you need to see the way some will answer even some will not ... I would be happy if anyone who reads this post can help shed more light to how to upload an image to the profile pic and the cover pic too.

>That aside, moving to the aspect of post related comments, I was guilty of this, just as you said, I went through @papa-pepper tutorial and he stressed how commenting help to be notice on the steemit planet but he never dig deep as you just did, in actual sense, I found out how to use post related comments myself but I am happy this will help newbies if and only everyone of us resteems this and use it as a reference to them.

>I observed, participating in some contest also brings newbies to be noticed. I do not really take part but I am using this medium to ask if it is a greay thing to do and how do we get to know if there are any contests going?

>I am really glad you shared this awesome information with us all...

The Third Post of the week was ; [Why @fyrstikken and @bleujay are Betting Big On A Steem Application Most Undervalue](https://steemit.com/blockchain-blogger/@ogochukwu/why-fyrstikken-and-bleujay-are-betting-big-on-a-steem-application-most-people-undervalue)

Zappl the twitter like Micro Blogging Platform launched recently after a long wait, there was a lot of mixed reactions coming from the general community

I wrote a post describing what I believe to be the strenghts on Zappl and what it has the potential of achieving in the furture

The following are comments from readers

@greenrun said

>You made a really good argument for Zappl, there is another way out of the conundrum of running into problems with those trailing you; you can create a new account. Then, you can zap as much as you want.

>Change usually come with a little resistance or inertia. People generally do not like change, so it is understandable that people may be cautious of any add-on to steemit as it is. Most of this call for caution is driven by the love and wellbeing of steemit. Most of us love status quo, but change is something you cannot afford to let happen or you would be left behind in the grand scheme of things.

>Do you follow veryshortstory too? You, my friend, is an enlightened one. I have been following them since 2010. Long before creating an account on twitter!
_________

@nairadaddy said

>This is a very long and entertaining post with very valid points. I appreciate your efforts @ogochukwu.

>I personally don't see how Zappl is going to affect my timeline. If adoption becomes more pronounced and there are significant number of Zaps on each persons's timeline, it still doesn't matter because they are all posts. Provided it makes sense. If its just a spam post to earn Steem...I really pray I have enough SP by then to downvote the person into oblivion.

>Currently there is a mute button. So if anyone you are following isn't making sense, you can just 'shut the person up'. Or better still unfollow like the writer suggested.

>I think there will be redistribution of members to all these other platforms with time but Steemit will always be the MOTHER.

>Busy.org is just Decentralized Fb. Zappl is decentralized twitter...but in the long run, if you want to be a blogger, the you must "Steemit".

@yinkaknl ·
Thanks for sharing this. This is what other curators should be doing for does that just join and they are not doing. Even if they are not the person that invite them. I can only teach what i know, the person that invite me here may not have the time to set my feet on the right way, if i now have opportunity to invite 10 people to join, i can only teach them the little i know.
