**The world turned its back
on me and left me to fight
my demons and monsters myself.**

**The society that shattered my dreams
because of their selfishness and greed
made my everyday life seem like a battle.**

**My heart cries,
tears of blood flowing into wrong veins
and fear dwelled in the wrong cells.**

**But poetry has come to save me,
a luxury I thought I could never afford,
a jewel that seemed too precious to behold.**

**My failing heart that
you have come to stitch together.
My tears that you have come to put an end too.**

**My emotions don't hurt too much now,
Because I can let them flow out with my words
and reduce the burden of my heart.**

**Poetry; the luxury,
thank you for coming to save me from
my deep canal.
Muse, thank you for always having the right words
to describe how I feel.**
