Today I would like to share with a brief but important message titled: *"A Leader Must Learn & Unlearn To Make Difference."*

I believe this not the first time we are sharing message on  *a leader* but it might be on a different topic and content altogether. As such, knowledge does not end and keeps it dynamism, that why every bit of information is very imperative. Now, a leader is someone who leads in either business/company congregation of Church, institution, a family, cooperate body or a journey to some destination. And everyone can be a leader in his own capacity, depending on the group he has been assigned to lead them. Some people have ideology that leaders are borne and others too have different ideas that leaders are not born, but made to learn. However non of these category of people are wrong since they view leaders in different perspectives. 

To me my opinion, leaders must learn and unlearn new things to make difference or achieve their goals and visions they are ought to. To learn means: *"to gain or acquire knowledge of or skill in (something) by study, experience, or being taught."* To unlearn means: *"to make an effort to forget your usual way of doing something so that you can learn a new and sometimes better way"*(Cambridge Dictionary). We always learn new things as leaders, since things keep changing, and ideas keep increasingly growing and expanding since a lot of research are always been made by people. We acquire knowledge much through tapping from our predecessors, that is why the knowledge of Bible always fresh and new for our consumption.

Lets relate this message to a Biblical message a bit. Now, God has seen that Moses, the Leader of the Israelites was growing old and He must get some renowned, intellectual and faithful person to succeed  Moses. Joshua was the one who fit this position. So, Joshua was chosen to under study Moses, the ways he has handled the Israelites to date. Joshua learnt the way and manner, strategies Moses used to coach and handle the Israelites. Joshua studied Moses faith in God, and also studied humility according to Numbers 12 vs 3. Joshua learned how to be loyal to God and trust God well, how to adhere to instruction from God(Exodus 17:10), all these things Joshua learned from Moses, since in those days God spoke to Moses directly.  Though Moses was quick tempered, but Joshua unlearn that trait from Moses, however it gave Joshua more ideas of how to rather handle his people to live in peace.

At appropriate time, God prepares his own leaders for his Ministration. Because He wants his leaders to learn and unlearn new things in the World to defend their tactics in leading his congregation to perfection. So, Joshua appreciated God's own waiting period at the times he was under studying Moses to learn and unlearn from him to be able to deliver well. God also promised to follow Joshua and said to him: *"No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you."(Joshua 1:5NKJV)* So, after the death of Moses, Joshua took the mantle of Moses upon what he learned and unlearned, he delivered to expectation. I believe learning and unlearning should be part of us as Christians and ambassadors of Jesus Christ to be able to lead our people that God has given them to us to be the shepherd. Anyone who learn and unlearn acquire more knowledge and deliver well.
