# Rejoice today

Psalm 118: 24 (New International Version)

When we base our joy and state of mind on the things we lack and everyday problems, we can hardly rejoice. On the contrary, when we put our eyes and trust in our God and His favor, joy begins to flow within us.

Why should a Christian be sad, if he has received eternal life and forgiveness of sins? Why should he have his thoughts focused on what he does not have, since he has received everything in Jesus? Why should he have his eyes on the past, since he has already been redeemed from him? , Or in the future being that it has not yet arrived, and of which God has already been commissioned ?.

Having our thoughts and hearts focused on what we can NOT control robs us of joy today. That is why this verse says that we rejoice on this day, in the present, only 24 hours a day today. Regarding the past, God already had the solution on the Cross. And regarding the future, He has only the best waiting for us (Jeremiah 29:11). So, the part that touches us is to rejoice and rejoice today for what He has already done in our lives.

It is good to have goals and seek the dreams of God for our lives, but without deviating and putting our eyes only on it. For in doing it we forget the best part that has already been given to us, Jesus.

To maintain a joyful heart it is necessary to recognize the favor of God in your life. Change the way you pray. Instead of focusing your sight on the things that you do not have, thank the Lord for all that He has given you: life, salvation, freedom, peace, sustenance etc. And praise him for it. Put your trust in God with the understanding that if you have already given the most important thing, why would you doubt that it will give you the best? Let God do His part and you only do yours, which is:
