SPUD XI - My First SPUD Post!
For the first time, I have decided to join the monthly SPUD'orama and the efforts of my fellow Steemians to prop up our Steem blockchain in the marketplace.

Well ... No, dear reader, I am one of those sorts of people who likes to make sure I have a *nice round number* on the read out at the gas pump.  &#128551; Every time I fill up my car ... &#x1F914;<br><br>

Let's close this post out with noting my SPUD Power Up represents a Steem Power increase of 10.04%.  Not likely to win any prizes, but not too bad!

While I have (and still do have) had my concerns about our Steem blockchain, <b><code>I have <em>never</em> powered down 1 SP.</code></b>  So ...  Doing my small part to help out our Steem blockchain, as we all wait to see what the outcome is of the March 6th ["STEEMit 2.0 Town Hall"](https://steempeak.com/steemit/@justinsunsteemit/open-letter-to-steem-community) meeting, between the top 50 Witnesses and the new owner of SteemIt Inc., Justin Sun.

Until "next time," all the best to you for a better tomorrow, as we all __*work*__ together to build up our Steem Communities and add increasing value to our Steem blockchain!  &#128077; &#128522;

Yes, well I certainly still have my reservations @nextgen622.  No way to know, but I assume we won't have long to wait to learn the outcome of the big meeting this Friday.

Trust is key to any mutually beneficial business transaction.  Whether that is still possible under in the present environment is an essential question.  In the meantime, I had this STEEM available, so I just decided to go ahead and power it up.  First investing in STEEM in August 2017, I have yet to ever power down.

From all I have read of the softfork decision @wakeupkitty, the top witnesses certainly knew the potential threat they faced.  And supposedly took steps to protect themselves.  And  us ...

If you are like me, they didn't ask for my opinion.  About whether there is now sufficient trust to move forward in any sort of a positive, constructive manner ...

Yes, SPUD is one of the many great initiatives on our Steem blockchain.  Over a year old.  Can't say, with today's events, I win the "Timing of the Year" award or anything, for doing this for the 1st time, but ... &#128551; Oh well, it's just money ... &#x1F60F;
