A picture they say is worth a thousand words, some even say a million words. It's a very common saying and everyone, or at least almost everyone, believes it. Though  I know a  bunch of guys who preached it but never believed it, those are the lecturers who taught me FAA 101 (Fundamentals of Drawing) in my first year in the university.

You are about to ask me why I think they didn't believe the saying. Stay calm, I'm also about to tell you; can you imagine, after all the series of drawings and paintings, we still had to write and write in the exam as if our lives depended on it. Ironically, these set of people are the same people who not  only told us but also taught us that a picture is worth a thousand words. May God forgive their hypocrisy, but i'll never. Don't beg me!

# How Much Really Is A Video Worth?
You believe that a picture is worth a thousand words, right? I know you do. Now imagine if a picture is worth a thousand words, how many words is a video worth? Chill, we'll be practical about it. Let's do the calculations; 
A video is a moving picture, If you didn't know, now you've known. Videos are made up frames, simply put, a frame = a picture. Naturally, the human eye sees 24 frame per second(fps), In a lay man's language, what this means is that when you as a human look at maybe a video or live scene, or just anything, you'll normally see 24 pictures every single second, It is the work of your brain to now put all these frames together to give you what you see(this applies to humans. if you're an alien and you're reading this, I believe you're exempted. And please loan me some super-powers if you can't gift me. I've heard stories about alien having super-powers and I sometimes which I was an alien. And perhaps you are a "wanna be" alien like me, you'd be helping a soul by contacting me when you've finally found a way to become an alien). 
Back to our calculation, if the human eye sees 24fps, and 1fps = 1 picture, and 1 picture = 1,000 words. How many words would you have spoken in a 30 seconds Video?
Let's do the maths: In a 1 second video, you'd have spoken 24x1,000 words = 24,000 words. Now in a 30 seconds video, you'd have spoken 24,000x30 words = 720,000 words.

I believe you grabbed the calculations, right? (If you didn't, well, we'll organize a tutorial). Now you've seen how many words a 30 seconds video is worth, a whopping 720, 000 words. Now, let me chip this in, standard videos don't have a frame rate of 24fps. Nope! They're commonly 25fps or 29.9fps depending on the region. The thing is, the human eye will see both 25 and 29.9fps videos just fine, in fact you can't even differentiate between a 25 and 29.9 fps video if played side by side. But videos of very high frame rates(let's says 48, 60, 100fps e.t.c.) may look weird to some people. There are lots of technicality behind frame rates which i can't go into in this post, maybe I'll write about frame rates one of these days, just maybe.

If I were you, I would have been asking myself, why is this guy writing this epistle about the worth of a video. Well, I was just laying the ground for one big thing I want to talk about later; It's **VIDEO MARKETING**.
