What we are currently seeing on the crypto markets can be understood as a battle against decantralization. Some coins have lost more than 50% of their value in 30 days. 
Since this trend is evident in almost all cryptos, we can assume that an attack by high finance is taking place here. They are goal is simple: you want to distrust all Cryptos.
Nobody should trust a system that cannot be controlled by these powers. 

Elon Musk also plays an important role in this development. He influences the markets with his statements. Ultimately, he will lose confidence himself. 
If he speaks this way today and differently tomorrow, on the same subject, then of course his credibility will suffer. Wealth may drive people crazy 😊.  In any case, it looks like he doesn't know what he wants himself. First he pushes Doge and BTC, then he spreads bad signals and so nobody really knows what his aim is. 

Then we have to realize that the crypto markets, like the classic investment markets, can be influenced very quickly by rumors. Suddenly it is said that Turkey is banning BTC or China wants to regulate all cryptos. 
Throughout human history, or as long as there are markets, they have been manipulated. In fact, I say manipulation is an inherent force of all markets. What cannot be manipulated does not grow large either. That is a sad realization, but this is probably true. 
We have to understand that wealth always creates new wealth and so nobody should be surprised that the crypto markets are also dominated by the same forces that dominate the classic monetary system. Nothing can change that as long as there is no 100% decentralization. At BTC, 85% of all mining resources are in China. 
In my opinion, cryptos that are backed by a real application (like Steem, EOS, IOTA, TRX) have an advantage and BTC is not one of them. 

Despite all the bad global circumstances, I still see a bright future for Steem. We shouldn't allow ourselves to be influenced by the extreme fluctuations in the markets. Steem is still a small niche product. I myself would find it better if Mister Sun and his TRON Foundation could bring themselves to remove the many other tokens and only prioritize TRX. In theory, all Steem values and all other TRON tokens could be transferred to TRX. The focus on a single token could bring TRX a lot further than the dilution currently taking place through the many small different tokens that ultimately nobody wants to have 😊.
