过能改
《菜根谭》上有一句话，“弥天罪过，都当不得一个悔字”。在生活中，每个人都有过失，但是不管过失再大，只要我们能够发自内心地想要改过，这些过失就都会随着我们的改过消失。人与人的差别，有时候在于“心”，人的本心很重要，有的人心地善良，有的人却心地邪恶。我们做事情的态度是由我们的内心决定的，当我们犯了错误，想要改过的时候，其实我们是心生善意的。这种向善的心意很重要，只要善心生起，那么我们的过错也会随之烟消云散。 

《弟子规》也提倡“过能改，归于无。倘掩饰，增一辜。”

当我们犯了错误，如果能立刻改正，别人也不会在意我们犯过错误，还是觉得我们是好人；但是如果我们不承认自己错了，还去掩饰，那就等于我们又犯了一个新的错误。

《弟子规》提出，有些人很爱面子，犯了错误也不去改正，这样的行为非常不可取，有过失没有关系，改正了就还是好人。
 
有再大的过失，只要能够发自内心地认识到自己的错误，发自内心地想去悔改，这个人就是好人。因为只有心地善良的人才会心生善意，而那些不肯悔改，还加以掩饰的人，他们的内心就是不善的，就是向恶的，这样的人会被别人看不起。
 
世界上没有完美的人，没有不犯错误的人，我们每个人都是不断犯错、不断改正的。我们要有认错的勇气，要有改错的决心，犯了错误不能自暴自弃、自甘堕落，这样的人生才是坦坦荡荡的。
 
明朝着名学者王守仁说过一句话：“不贵于无过，而贵于能改过。”大凡圣人雅士，都有一颗善于改正错误的心，王守仁也是这样的一个人。年少时候的王守仁对于学文和学武都不够刻苦，却非常喜欢下棋，并且总是因此耽误学习。王守仁的父亲见他如此沉迷于下棋，非常生气，多次管教他，但王守仁都不知道悔改，还是执迷于下棋，后来王守仁的父亲一气之下，把棋子扔到了河里。这个时候的王守仁终于醒悟了，还写下了一首诗：“象棋终日乐悠悠，苦被严亲一旦丢。兵卒坠河皆不救，将军溺水一齐休。马行千里随波去，象入三川逐浪游。”后来王守仁发奋读书，最终成为明朝最着名的思想家、哲学家、文学家、军事家。
 
曾看过一则悲伤的消息，有一名初中生非常喜欢上网，母亲多次劝说，他还是沉迷网络。有一次这名初中生也想过改过自新，还在自己的日记中写道：“对不起，妈妈，我太让您操心了，我以后一定会好好学习，再也不沉迷于游戏，我还要让您过上好日子。”妈妈看了儿子写的日记非常感动，以为儿子就此悔改了，真的会把心思放在学习上。但是好景不长，没过多久，这个孩子又沉迷于游戏，母亲非常绝望，跳河自尽了。儿子看见妈妈跳河后，自己也跟着跳了下去，母子都就此身亡。这是一则让人唏嘘不已的消息，因为孩子犯了错误，不知道悔改，最后母子二人都为此付出了宝贵的生命。
 
我们都应该勇敢地去面对自己的错误和过失，幡然醒悟，改正错误。如果我们知错不改，还对自己的错误加以掩饰，这就是多了一个错误。“知耻近乎勇”，我们都要做知道自己过错的勇敢的人，知错就改的人，才是积极的人，才是有追求的、不断向上的人。所谓的修行，其实也就是修正自己的行为，做错事后要及时改正。当然，我们看见别人做错事情的时候，要学会宽恕别人，不要盯着别人的缺点和过失不放。
