One of his guests in an interview did say "Steemit is a great start".   That actually inspired two advertising related blog posts I made (one yesterday, one today).

It wouldn't be extremely difficult to convert something like infowars to run on the steem blockchain.  It could run on the main chain or as a side chain.   It'd simply be another view like busy.org.   It would need to be another view so they could still also do all of their advertisement and such.    The store would also be off of the blockchain, but it could also be converted to potentially be on it.

There are opportunities...

What we need to encourage people to do is to embrace existing blockchain technology such as steem rather than continually creating YET ANOTHER CRYPTO-CURRENCY.    The fragmentation of the crypto-currency world is one of the barriers to mass adoption.     Bitcoin dominates, because it was first, and it is established.   It has noticeable lag and performance issues, but this is why it is dominant.    It was first.

There is opportunity if WE seize upon opportunities outside of steem to talk about the steem blockchain, and two views into that blockchain as examples that currently work (steemit, busy.org).     Can also mention steemd.com and others if that makes sense when speaking to a particular audience.

If we could explain to him how the steem blockchain (not steemit) works he could potentially have something like Infowars converted over to run on top of the steem blockchain within a month or so... really depends upon how much programmer resources can be thrown at it.

Then it would be censorship free... and he could have infowars that was looking at the steem blockchain that steemit and busy also look at, but only showing on infowars the articles by his authors...

Those of us on steemit would see his and ours... just an example of how an infinite number of websites interfacing with the distributed uncensorable steem blockchain could be set up.

I agree it is good news for Steemit for the actual new mainstream media Info whores to mention the platform. 

That being said, as soon as Alex Jones realizes he is missing out on money he will come to steemit.
