On June 2017 - two months before the publishing of this post - we saw an [ANN](https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1960307.01) that would not leave anyone indifferent: the rebirth of PandaCoin, one of the oldest projects and once one of the biggest communities in the world of crypto.

The original project left many people disappointed on its way and that's the hardest challenge for the new dev team that is taking over the project. With a current price of just 1 sat , this coin has obviously space to rise.

## But what are the fundamentals behind this reborn project?

There is a new team that wants to make the coin a great asset again. The reason behind not having a roadmap yet is that users can contribute to the roadmap by participating on a [comprehensive poll](http://cryptodepot.org/voting-booth/). 

By spending PND to choose your desired options, you can give your opinion on PND-powered games, segwit implementation, masternodes and many more concerns.

## And what's the team doing in the meantime?

Before focusing on other optuions from the booth, an update for the Mac version of PandaBank (the main wallet) is in progress. The team is also testing the Mac Pandacoin Electrum wallet and Virtual PandaBank - an online wallet.

# Charity Fund

But what definitely makes this crypto one of a small and selected group is that it has created a charity fund to help pandas in their habitat. As they state in the [PND4PND](http://cryptodepot.org/pnd4pnd/) article:

>charitable action reflective of the spirit of Pandacoin and it’s 
>community. A Stake mining PandaBank and Addresses have 
>been created and all Pandacoin donated will be sold (hopefully 
>at higher prices than we see today) and the proceeds will be 
>donated accordingly.

Thus, PandaCoin wants to differentiate from other projects by actively supporting a charity fund in a transparent manner. Can't think of a better advertising for the asset.

# An investment opportunity
