The work agriculture is the art or science of cultivating the ground, including the harvesting of crops, and the rearing and management of livestock; tillage; husbandry; farming in a large scale or small scale, in an economy the importance of agriculture is known to everyone, agricultural produce is normally in human life the most important, food is life because everybody eats, animals feed on it to survive, organism, the whole life cycle. In an economy agriculture is an important part of it, the oil disease has led people away from the fact that without agriculture an economy will crumble, whether you produce or you buy from another country, buying and selling of food crops is one of the ways an economy grows fast. Not every country in the world has the most sought after mineral resources today so farming has been another means of income for the growth of their economy. It is known today that countries like China, Korea, Japan all has high technology way of farming to feed it's large number of population where virtually everyone is involved in farming. 


There was a time we read in the news papers of groundnut pyramid in a particular state in the  northern part of the country, but when the crude oil disease started agriculture in Nigeria has gone below it's initial percentage. The developed countries in the world today has mega-farming system, it helps the economic growth and it creates job opportunities.


Furthermore, since the little improvement of farming in this part of the world, the economy will rise gradually, there will be jobs in the labour market, also it is advisable that individuals engage in farming even if it's on a small scale,  someone will benefit from it, in terms of food or job opportunities, the little things we do in agriculture improves the economy in one way or the other. On a large scale or a small scale the economy grows well enough. Every developed countries in the world today takes agriculture as important  as other aspects of the economy, the importance of agriculture cannot be over emphasis for its not possible to live without it, it has always been a means of survival for people in developing countries in Nigeria today. 


The economy is where it is today because no young blooded man wants to be in the farm, maybe if the stakeholders makes technical and science inclined tools available, my making things needed for agricultural produce at the reach of farmers and they should be well trained to use this tools, it will create more jobs opportunity and economy grows.
