Yes, my wing mirrors are kept in place with duct tape and yes the weather is crappy in Finland today. The conditions and resources available are what they are. *It is not what you have, it's how you use it.*  What I like about Steem is that there are so many ways to participate on the platform and the range is growing. This means that there is an increasing pool of choice for users to make and depending on taste and circumstances, people can choose their path or, multiple paths. The problem comes when choices are made but the expectation that results compared to other options are similar and, that is not true at all. There is an opportunity cost matrix to every decision and some decisions are more costly than others. For me, I don't play games really at all these days, because once upon a time I was a very heavy gamer but came to the realisation that the cost was a price I didn't want to pay. Since quitting gaming cold about 7 years ago, I have spent my time working, starting a business and Steeming over the last 2 years. It has been much more rewarding. I am not talking financially although because of the work, the economic setbacks of the last 3 years have been covered, mostly. The reward has come in my own sense of selfworth and enhancement of my creative abilities. Creation matters but you can't have something from nothing and after quitting gaming I had time and whatever resources available to me which were namely mental. Now, back to Steem, I see it like a game of sorts as there are many decisions to make and each leads to different results. Whole some prefer to play DrugWars, MagicDice or Steemmonsters, I prefer to write. But, even if I wanted to play the games, I don't have the time to spend on them considering the return I would get back. Again, not talking steem here. For me these days, I derive more enjoyment from writing and engaging than I would from gaming so, why would I game? From a steem perspective however, I will also earn more Steem writing than gaming. As they say, do what you love. I am lucky that currently under the conditions and with the resources I have, I can do what I enjoy and earn Steem. I value steem as more than the fiat equivalent of it as it is also my tokens of possibility of the games I can play on Steem. Not Steem games, development games, investment games, charity games, education games, research games. Rather than life being a stage on which we are all actors, life is more of a game in which we are all players. This may allude to simulation theory but more, it is decision making theory or, *game theory.* Regardless of the theory however, like if or not, no matter how we choose to spend our time, we are all part of the larger game that is life. The cool thing about this game is that despite the natural laws of life, it is a free market - that doesn't mean there is no cost, nor does it guarantee results and, it definitely doesn't mean it is fair other than every player is constrained by the natural laws. I don't mind how people spend their time but, I also understand that my results are going to vary based on the choices I make. While I could complain about the way others play the game, if one is actually an actor on that stage, one still has to act. Life is about possibility of movement and one can think what they want but until it translates into action, it changes nothing at a practical level. The thing about the game is that it is always moving, changing and eventually, nothing stays the same. It makes for some very interesting gameplay. Duct tape, aka. Jesus tape (_Jeesusteippi_ in Finnish) is the shit. I fixed my chair's arm rest with it, because it cracked from putting too much pressure on it. On the cycling trip I used it to fix my raincoat and used it with toilet paper to make a temporary DIY bandaid for the scratch I caused with a knife β this happened the day before we met so you might remember this, when I had to tuck my index finger to not rip it open which made eating a bit awkward :D

Man i was hoping the duct tape you used for the mirrors was going to be hot pink or lime green. Just out of curiosity what game sucked up most of your time? If I had to do life over I don't know if I would have not gamed, but maybe gamed differently trying to push into streaming more and sooner knowing what I know now. I'll have to admit there were entire weekend that I spent playing video games, but that's what my friends and I did. I do wish I would have spent a little more time traveling, but at the time I didn't have the confidence or security to do that by myself anyways. Maybe I can blame gaming for me being socially awkward, but I think that's just me in general. I'm also a bit weird as I enjoy game economies. I spent a lot of time in games buying a selling virtual goods and unfortuantely I didn't realize the gold I was making at the time could be sold for real money. I'm hoping I can take advantage of some of those skills I developed and make some money with SteemMonsters, but only time will tell. Nice thing is I can just invest small amounts I'm earning passively through my OCDB delegation while powering up all my profits I get from writing.

Honestly gaming is what I think kept me from drinking in college. Not that I'm a big drinker to begin with, but I enjoyed having a LAN halo party with friends or raiding in WoW to going out and drinking all night, so you do have a point. I do miss it as I don't have as much time to game anymore, and the wife used to frown on it, but I think she's coming around to seeing it as a way to relax as you said and get away. >Girl troubles Gaming is definitely a great escape for that one.

The place I bought it only had black. Lime green was sold out... I played Ghost Recon and later Battlefield and was decent at both. If I had known more, maybe I would have streamed or something too but, who knows as I am generally not an overly public person. Which is weird considering Steem. I think gaming on Steem is going to be huge and while I don't play, I don't mind supporting the activities of others. If people enjoy playing, that is great and the economies of the world change on the demand and supply matrices and, things are changing. Slowly.

I'm playing steemmonsters as an economics game. I've been cornering one specific card for ages; now delegation is out, I have a lot of scope to set the market price for leasing that card. Do I make it cheap and get a yield with quantity; or do I hold most of them back, and keep the price to lease high? If I bottom out the cost to lease, the ROI for that card will suffer, then nobody's going to want to buy them, and many will elect to sell the ones they hold and use that money to buy better performing cards. That puts downward pressure on the sale price and upward pressure on the lease price, but it also means I'm the only one buying. If I can buy them all up and put them straight out for lease I can keep the lease prices down without too much sales price growth, while accumulating more cards. I'm not trying to stack Steem; I'm trying to stack percentage. So far it's 25%, but ask again in 6 months ;) This is gaming now. Gaming the game. Most of the guys who've tried cornering a market have lost their shirt. Will I be a shining example to follow; or join the list of broken dreamers?

Yep. I couldn't agree more. I can't justify gaming anymore as 4 hours on Steem is far more rewarding. I see this place as one big game and it takes more time and thought than sitting in front of a screen shooting or hitting something. The games on Steem though have rewards as well so it is not quite the same as normal gaming. I have x amount of hours that I need to commit to the platform in order to grow and prioritizing where and what I do leaves me no extra time. Super glue may be a little better than duct tape or even better still visit a scrapyard and get a replacement.
