Quick thoughts to clear the day away

I have to go pick up my daughter from her grandparents shortly so don't have much time. However, I don't have much to say either so, that works out well. 

I got the confirmation for travel next week which is great but now the only flights are at 5 in the morning from a city 2 hours away or, the evening which get me in later than I'd like as I would prefer some prep time on location. I am really thinking about going the day before also and working from there because it gives me an opportunity to get my wits about me. 

Normally it wouldn't be a problem I'd say to get in late but knowing my travel luck, I will be delayed further and with my lack of product knowledge at the moment, I don't really want to constantly be chasing and under pressure. I am looking forward to the trip and experience regardless and whatever happens, I'll adjust to suit.

It is hopefully going to be one of my strengths in the team where I will be able to take the weird cases on short notice and, the more difficult customers. I don't mind handling difficult people. Maybe that is how I survive life with my wife.

So many things are coming together at the same time though that it is difficult to get enough space to focus for long enough before having to move on. Life gets like that sometimes though and the trick is to suck it up and deal with it. Part of the dealing is of course finding coping mechanisms that can clear and refresh the mind. Obviously that is writing for me. 

One thing I am hoping to do on some of these trips though is to pack my camera and a lens or two and get some shots of the area. I will likely only have evenings but, even an hour in a strange city can be an experience with a camera I my opinion. Looking through the lens is another coping mechanism probably bit, one I don't have time for lately. 

Well, times up and I will get back to this later.

I often feel that it is best to get in the day before to settle in particularly if it is a new place to get acquainted with.  However, I almost never sleep well the first night so it is always a toss up how engaged I will be that first morning.  Good luck!

I am really considering going a day early but it makes life harder on my wife having me gone for 2 nights at the moment. I wouldn't mind another night of sleep though :)

You said you know how to deal with difficult people and I agreed with you because of how your treated issue here on steemit . What you said about your wife caught my attention. I'm a pretty difficult person to live with as well I think, I try not to be but on the other hand sadly it's probably good for my partner's job x_x

I managed to get a 6 am flight out from my city which makes things heaps better as I can spend the day preparing for the next day and still perhaps see a bit of the city.
