Batting in the second innings after trailing by almost 78 runs, Australia's top order fight backed very bravely. After facing Walsh-Ambrose-Patterson-Bishop Sammel in nearly two sessions, the Australian batsman set a target of 231 for the West Indies on the last day.
West Indies had lost their four wickets for nine runs in [Craig McDermott's](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craig_McDermott) spell. Richie Richardson led from the front. He knows that the first defeat of a hero-fighter is to lose to himself. So he did not lose himself. After a nearly four-hour standoff, the lion-hearted Richardson returns from a hostile environment, but the West Indies was still very close to the defeat. However, Bishop and Ambrose-Walsh somehow managed it. West Indies saved the day.

But in the second test, West Indies could not save it. Australia went ahead in the series by defeating West Indies with a massive margin of victory. The two superstars also met face to face in Melbourne. Brian Lara played the first test, but Shane Warne was missed. The two face off in the second test. Warne-Magic ravaged West Indies. Shane Warne's spin-magic took seven wickets for 52 runs.

Brian Lara took revenge on Warne's classic leg-spin in the next Test. In Sydney's first masterclass, Lara scored 277 runs off 74 strikes rate. Despite the draw, the West Indies reassured the shaky confidence.

Richie Richardson was very confident in the next Test. Despite targeting just 186 runs in the fourth innings of the fourth Test in Adelaide, captain Richardson said, "*Hey, I won't let them do that.*"
Australia lost their first seven wickets for 74 runs against the Caribbean bowling line-up. After losing eight wickets for 102 runs and nine wickets for 144 runs, the resistance of 'Birthday Boy' [Tim May](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_May) and Craig McDermott's started.

The fight, which lasted about an hour and a half, ended with Walsh's bouncer. West Indies won by one run. Win by the smallest margin in the history of Test cricket. Although the Australians had objections, there are still. Equality came in the series.
The West Indies returned to form in the fifth and final Test in their old form. Killer, aggressive and horrible. Curtly Ambrose bowled a historic spell 7-wicket for one run. With an innings and 25-run victory, the West Indies maintained their absolute dominance. The record of not losing the series since 1980 and the exclusive ownership of the Frank Warrell trophy remains intact. World of Cricket had witnessed that the West Indies are still the undisputed emperor of world cricket.
