A very interesting project.  I agree the BTC and ETH might only be adding bad to worse.  I am not real familiar with NEO, I can say the 100,000 TPS caught my attention.

You could buy TNC at some not so mainstream exchanges: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/trinity-network-credit/#markets

I just mostly love the technology and it could be better than Raiden Network. They are going to be on Ethereum soon: https://www.reddit.com/r/TrinityTNC/comments/97jql7/trinity_ethereum_state_channels_coming_soon/

I still think DPoS on-chain scaling is sufficient for at least the next few years and Komodo also offers a nice alternatives and NEM isn't bad either. Most people are not even getting a real use of ETH yet. State channels are even more advanced. So I wouldn't put too much money and I currently don't hold and TNC or RDN.
