In this serie, we will talk about the meaning of the mottos produced by the philosophers, authors or created by the society itself anonymously. This time we will talk about **''To live alone is the fate of all great souls''** told from Arthur Schopenhauer. Schopenhauer don't need introduction. We all know this German philosopher. He has great ideas and making us always think somethings. This time we will examine his that motto. What is a **''great soul''** and why he or he have to be alone in this world ? Let's try to find answers.

First of all, we must know what is a great soul for Schopenhauer. As you know, most of philosophers living alone. They dont' have much friends and they are not social as we are. Actually reason is so simple. They are querying everything. Not just big things. Why we are eating ? Why we are making sex ? They are asking all questions for us. When you  ask a question, someone in the sociecty becomes uncomfortable. Because every question has a reason. This reasons making by people. If there is no problem in a society, you will not asking something. So, every questions coming with its problems. Everytime you asked something, you will be become a stranger for the society. Now let's think to philosophers. They are asking millions of question. Can you imagine how much they got haters from society ? So Schopenhauer one of the this philosophers. I think ''great soul'' in his motto means people that asking questions, talking aganist injustices and not living for just materials. But why they have to live alone and is this bad thing ?

As i say before, every question annoying someone. But you can always loved by someones. Your idea can getting attention in positive way. For example: You can crictize to the goverment. And anti-goverment people will love you. But they will hate you who love the goverment system. You can take this example opposite way. Result always same. But this is not a ''great soul.'' Because great soul must query everything. If you criticized to goverment, you must criticized why they are doing this things and what protesters making wrong. Because every action have some reasons. You must ask questions both side. This is a become a great soul. Not for reputation. Questions must try to fix something, not destroy everything. So, if this is a great soul, how much we are great ? If you are not alone, you are not criticized everything. There is no perfect idea in this world. If you are communist, you must criticized communism too. If you are capitalist, you must criticized this too. Believing something with blindly is wrong. But you must be prepare. If you criticized everything you will become alone. Of course you can have real friends. But you are not be able to loved from a group. Is this a bad thing ? For me, this is must. Because no one is perfect in this world. Everyone must be criticized. Including me. Including you. So we will be alone but we will have great soul.
